  • Patent number: 9458845
Abstract: A compressor assembly having an air ducting shroud that can direct a cooling air stream from a fan to components of the compressor assembly, such as a pump assembly. The pump assembly can have at least a pump, a motor and a fan. The compressor can be cooled by providing cooling air to a cylinder head of the pump without the cooling air experiencing choking or substantial cooling flow interference from a cooling of the motor.

  • Publication number: 20160178084
Abstract: An air compressor having a pressure-setting regulator for setting a regulator outlet pressure without a separate pressure gauge. A pressure controlling regulator knob can be rotated to set and control the regulator outlet pressure selected from a scale of set outlet pressures. The pressure control system can utilize a single-turn pressure control knob which can be used to select any pressure from a range of outlet pressures which can be produced by the regulator a partial or full rotation of the regulator knob. A compressor can use the positive control pressure regulation system, be free of an outlet pressure gauge, and allow a user to select an outlet pressure from a range of outlet pressures by rotating the single-turn regulator knob to select a set outlet pressure from the scale of set outlet pressures.

  • Publication number: 20160138578
Abstract: An air compressor assembly including a condensate management system that removes condensate from an air storage tank. Condensate inside the storage tank descends to the lowest point in the tank, where a single port is located. The port can serve as both an inlet for compressed air to the storage tank and an outlet of compressed air from the storage tank. The condensate is drawn from the storage tank to the manifold assembly through an air conduit and out of the air compressor assembly through a connected tool when the tool is activated.

  • Publication number: 20140037425
Abstract: A compressor assembly having a sound reduction shroud and a sound level of 75 dBA or less when in a compressing state. The sound reduction shroud can be a cylinder head shroud, a pump cylinder shroud, or a pump assembly shroud. The sound reduction shroud can optionally cover one or more of a compressor pump assembly, a cylinder head and a compressed gas outlet line. A compressor assembly having a sound reduction conduit and a sound level of 75 dBA or less when in a compressing state. The sound reduction conduit provides a cooling air channel directing cooling air to cool one or more portions of the compressor assembly and can direct exhaust cooling air to an exhaust port. A method for compressing a gas at a sound level of 75 dBA or less when the compressor is in a compressing state using a sound reduction shroud or a sound reduction conduit.

  • Publication number: 20100068308
Abstract: Provided is a novel use of therapeutic concentrations of an inhibitor of glycogen synthase kinase-3 (GSK-3), including lithium or any other GSK-3 inhibitor, to block, reduce or inhibit processing of amyloid precursor proteins to beta-amyloid (A?) peptides, which are now believed to be the principal cause of Alzheimer's disease, thereby providing methods useful for the prevention, inhibition or reversal of the disease. Also provided are methods of using agents that specifically target the ? isoform of GSK-3, which is responsible for APP processing, making such selective GSK-3?-specific inhibitors especially useful in the treatment, prevention, and possible reversal of Alzheimer's disease. Further provided are kits and screening methods associated with the present methods.
