Patent number: 11942391Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system in package having a chiplet with a first substrate and a first die deposed over the first substrate, a second die, a second substrate that the chiplet and the second die are deposed over, and a heatsink spreader deposed over the chiplet and the second die. Herein, the first substrate includes layered-cake shaped heatsink stanchions that are coupled to the first die, and the second substrate includes layered-cake shaped heatsink stanchions that are coupled to the chiplet and the second die. As such, heat generated by the first die can be dissipated by the heatsink stanchions within the first and second substrates, and heat generated by the second die can be dissipated by the heatsink stanchions within the second substrate. Furthermore, the heat generated by the first die and the second die can be dissipated by the heatsink spreader above them.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2021Date of Patent: March 26, 2024Assignee: Qorvo US, Inc.Inventors: Kelly M. Publication number: 20170361194Abstract: An apparatus and method is described for providing training and visual feedback of a preferred swing. The apparatus includes bands that are secured to the arms or legs of a user and an alignment member that is attached to the bands. In use, the ends of the alignment member are visible to the user throughout an entire swing of a sport equipment without requiring head movement of the user. By observing the position of the ends of the alignment member relative to the body of the user, the user or trainer is able to determine whether a preferred swing is being executed by the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 30, 2017Publication date: December 21, 2017Inventors: Everett Strand, Christine Miller

Patent number: 7592154Abstract: Compositions and methods are provided for the use of SOS pathway targeted agents in antimicrobial formulations. The innate sensitivity of bacteria to antibiotics is increased by disrupting a mechanism that normally activates the bacterial SOS response or by inhibiting steps in the SOS response pathway itself. SOS response induction can result from exposure of bacteria to certain antibiotics, including ?-lactam antibiotics and other agents that affect cell wall synthesis. By transiently delaying bacterial cell division, SOS response induction interferes with bacterial killing by ordinarily lethal concentrations of these drugs A pharmaceutical composition comprising an SOS targeted agent is administered to a patient suffering from a microbial infection, in combination with an antibiotic that induces an SOS response.Type: GrantFiled: August 1, 2006Date of Patent: September 22, 2009Assignee: The Board of Trustees of the Leland Stanford Junior UniversityInventors: Christine A. Miller, Ronen Mosseri, Stanley N. Cohen

Patent number: 7550259Abstract: A method of analyzing a sample comprising multiple protein species is provided. The proteins are separated by species such that the multiple protein species emerge in a sequential order and are then digested in the sequential order in which they emerge from the separation process. The digested proteins are introduced into a mass spectrometer in the same sequential order so that, within a given time window, the digested proteins introduced into the mass spectrometer are covariant.Type: GrantFiled: July 12, 2006Date of Patent: June 23, 2009Assignee: Agilent Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Steven M. Fischer, Christine A. Miller

Publication number: 20080067356Abstract: An apparatus for ionizing an analyte sample with a mass calibrant is provided. The apparatus includes an ionization chamber defining an ionization region, a first passageway coupled to the ionization region for delivering the analyte sample to the ionization region, a second passageway leading to a mass analyzer having an orifice arranged adjacent to the ionization region to receive ions from the ionization region, a third passageway coupled to the ionization chamber at a first end and having a second end with an orifice arranged to receive gaseous neutral mass calibrant molecules, and an ionization device arranged within the ionization chamber. The ionization device generates primary ions from the analyte sample, and the primary ions ionize a portion of the gaseous neutral mass calibrant molecules received into the ionization region via the third passageway.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 20, 2006Publication date: March 20, 2008Inventors: Paul C.
