  • Publication number: 20240164700
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing sleep quality of a patient, comprising: collecting physiological signal data of the patient using a data acquisition unit electrically coupled to at least one sensor affixed to the patient that generates the physiologic signal data; using one or more hardware processors executing instructions stored in a storage device: filtering the physiological signal data into a plurality of frequency bands corresponding to a plurality of power spectra waveforms; and characterizing an etiology of sleep quality of the patient based on a comparison of at least a first power spectra waveform of the plurality of power spectra waveforms against at least a second power spectra waveform of the plurality of power spectra waveforms, wherein the sleep quality of the patient is managed based on the characterized etiology of sleep.

  • Publication number: 20170168059
Abstract: A method for selecting treatment options for patients is provided. The method comprises a procedure for selecting patients that should not be placed on Active Surveillance (AS) but receive active treatment even though the morphologic analysis of the patient's biopsy may show a Gleason score that would traditionally have placed the patient in AS without any further treatment. In accordance with one embodiment, the patient is selected for active treatment if a biomarker associated with prostate cancer is detected. In yet a further embodiment, the patient is selected for additional treatment if the biomarker's concentration is determined to be higher in the benign section of the tissue sample than in the cancerous section. In another embodiment, biochemical recurrence is predicted identifying patients for treatment.

  • Publication number: 20040100090
Abstract: A security device comprising a plurality of sets of nested line segments, each set comprising a plurality of line segments (52) which are specularly reflective or have a specularly reflective component formed as a relief structure in or on a surface, the sides (70) of the line segments extending at angles offset from the normal to the surface. When the line segments (52) are exposed to a light beam in an exposure direction, an image is generated different from the appearance of the line segments when viewed under different illumination conditions.
