  • Publication number: 20230084283
Abstract: A method for displaying progress information on dispensing at least one fluid with at least one medical pump device (110), comprising: receiving, at a processing device (152), data associated with a total amount of the fluid to be dispensed; receiving, at the processing device (152), consecutively status information pertaining at least to an amount of the fluid already dispensed; displaying, on a display device (154), a progress bar (1), comprising: a first section (3) having a first size corresponding to an amount of the fluid yet to be dispensed, and a second section (5) having a second size corresponding to the amount of the fluid already dispensed; and determining based on the received status information whether fluid is being dispensed, and highlighting at least a part of the progress bar (1) based on determining that fluid is being dispensed. The invention also relates to computer-readable storage medium and to an apparatus for displaying progress information.

  • Patent number: 11071820
Abstract: Infusion device constituted to detect an abnormal condition during bolus injection An infusion device (1) for administering a medical fluid to a patient (4) comprises a pumping mechanism (12) for pumping a medical fluid through an infusion line (3) towards a patient (4), a sensor device (120) for measuring a measurement value indicative of a pressure in the infusion line (3), and a control device (13) being constituted to control the pumping mechanism (12) for injecting a bolus of medical fluid into the infusion line (3). Herein, the control device (13) is constituted to determine, dependent on an injection of a bolus into the infusion line (3), a control parameter taking a change in pressure during injection of the bolus into account and to derive, from the control parameter, the presence of an abnormal condition during the injection of the bolus. In this way an infusion device is provided which in a reliable manner allows for the detection of an abnormal condition during the administration of a bolus.

  • Publication number: 20190328963
Abstract: An infusion device (1) for administering a medical fluid to a patient (P) comprises a pumping mechanism (11) for pumping a medical fluid through a delivery line (3), and a processor device (15) for controlling the pumping mechanism (11), during an infusion operation, to pump the medical fluid through the delivery line (3) in a downstream direction (F1). Herein, the processor device (15) is constituted to perform, prior to an infusion operation, a test function during which the processor device (15) controls the pumping mechanism (11) to pump the medical fluid through the delivery line (3) in an upstream direction (F2) opposite the downstream direction (F1). In this way an infusion device is provided that supports a user, in particular a nurse, to perform an infusion operation, in particular to set up the infusion device for performing the infusion operation.
