    Abstract: A hairstyling preparation containing at least one anionic or nonionic organic polymeric film forming agent and a solvent. The improvement resides in incorporating into the hairstyling preparation as an ingredient thereof an amidofunctional polysiloxane having an average of fifty to one thousand siloxane units per molecule with an average of one to fifty of the siloxane units per molecule being amide-containing siloxane units.
