  • Publication number: 20220409396
Abstract: A method includes obtaining a surgical plan comprising a first planned position of an implant and a second planned position of an augment relative to a bone. The augment is planned to provide support between the bone and the implant. The method also includes preparing the bone to receive both the implant in the first planned position and the augment in the second planned position by controlling a robotic device based on the first planned position of the implant and the second planned position of the augment.

  • Patent number: 11478362
Abstract: A system for facilitating arthroplasty procedures includes a robotic device, a reaming tool configured to interface with the robotic device, and a processing circuit communicable with the robotic device. The processing circuit is configured to obtain a surgical plan comprising a first planned position of an implant cup and a second planned position of an implant augment relative to a bone of a patient, determine a planned bone modification configured to prepare the bone to receive the implant cup in the first planned position and the implant augment in the second planned position, generate one or more virtual objects based on the planned bone modification, control the robotic device to constrain the cutting tool with the one or more virtual objects while the cutting tool interfaces with the robotic device and is operated to modify the bone in accordance with the planned bone modification.

  • Publication number: 20220183757
Abstract: A method for controlling a robotic system to facilitate a joint arthroplasty procedure includes generating a graphical user interface comprising a visualization of an implant plan and an indication of a user-defined value for an implant planning parameter, and comparing the user-defined value for the implant planning parameter to the range. The method includes providing a marking at the indication of the user-defined value on the graphical user interface and receiving an update to the implant plan, wherein the update to the implant plan causes a change in the user-defined value. The method further includes determining that the change in the user-defined value moved the user-defined value to within the selected preferred range.

  • Publication number: 20220160512
Abstract: A tibial component includes a baseplate component that has an articular side and a bone contact side opposite the articular side. A peg extends from the bone contact side such that an acute angle is formed between a longitudinal axis of the peg and the bone contact side of the baseplate component. The peg includes a distal tip, an anterior portion, and a posterior portion. The distal tip defines a first radius of curvature, the anterior portion has a spherical portion that defines a second radius of curvature and extends from the distal tip, and the posterior portion has a conical portion that defines a taper angle relative to a longitudinal axis of the peg and extends from the distal tip.
