  • Patent number: 11959426
Abstract: A conventional gasoline engine is retrofitted and calibrated to operate as a bi-fuel engine using Hydrogen as the second fuel. When operated with Hydrogen, which typically leads to a reduction of engine output power, the engine is preferably operated in a charged mode and in a lean mode with the engine throttle kept in a wide-open position during charged and lean mode operation resulting in a more efficient engine with a reduction of engine output power loss.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 1, 2022
Date of Patent: April 16, 2024
    Assignee: H2 IP INVESTMENTS LTD.

  • Patent number: 11149668
Abstract: A conventional gasoline engine is retrofitted to operate as a bi-fuel engine using Hydrogen gas as a primary fuel and gasoline as a secondary fuel at various acceptable air fuel ratios while avoiding forbidden air fuel ratios. The engine is preferably operated to burn Hydrogen fuel in a charged mode and lean mode at certain acceptable air fuel ratios where relatively little NOx emissions occur. When additional power or acceleration is requested, processor controlled fuel injectors are operated to inject relatively small amounts of gasoline into the engine resulting in a fuel mixture that prevents increases in NOx emissions as the processor operates at a stoichiometric air fuel ratio where a catalytic converter is best able to reduce harmful emissions. The injection of the liquid gasoline fuel to the gaseous Hydrogen fuel reduces the temperature of the fuels significantly and reduces or eliminates backfiring tendency of the engine.

  • Patent number: 9700478
Abstract: A walking movement device is provided for producing a walking movement of a human being with two controlled foot guiding units, each having a foot plate for placing a foot thereon. The foot plates are alternately movable forward and backwards in opposite directions to stimulate the walking movement. The foot plates are coupled with at least one drive unit, via which drive unit the walking movement of the foot plates can be produced, and have a suspension unit for easing the weight on the human being. The foot plates each have a front and a rear partial area with the at least one drive unit being configured to move the rear partial area out of the common plane with respect to the front partial area and back again during the walking movement of the foot plates, in order to enable bending of the midfoot toe joint during the movement process.
