Publication number: 20100299952Abstract: A device for refreshing fabrics by reducing malodors and/or wrinkles without requiring that the fabrics to be put through an entire standard laundry process. The device comprises an extractable drawer which is pulled out of the device to allow for loading of a fabric into a receiving region. The extractable drawer can then be closed transporting the fabric into the interior of the device. A fabric treatment composition is sprayed or otherwise dispensed onto the fabrics when the device is operated. The device comprises an air flow path and a heating element which allows for the fabrics to be treated during use and comprises a passive heat management system within the shell to minimize formation of hot spots and direct air flow away from the side walls. The extractable drawer of the present invention can be positioned to extract laterally or vertically out of the shell of the device.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 1, 2010Publication date: December 2, 2010Inventors: Stephan Hubert Hollinger, Christof Kleemann, Markus Sabisch, Oliver von Sartori-Montecroce, Stephan James Andreas Meschkat, Heiko Ullrich, Robert Hans-Joachim Damaschke, Ulrich Alexander Bublitz, Brian Joseph Roselle

Patent number: 7841090Abstract: The present invention is directed to an electric shaver having a shaver housing, and a shaving head housing that is connected to the shaver housing for pivotal movement between two end positions. The shaving head housing carries at least two shaving assemblies, of which at least one shaving assembly is retractable into the housing to a first, retracted position, and elastically biased toward a second, extended position, such that extension of the at least one shaving assembly is a function of contact pressure applied by a user. Actuating elements carried by the shaving head housing control a maximum degree of extension of the at least one shaving assembly as a function of a pivot angle between the shaver housing and the shaving head housing.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 2009Date of Patent: November 30, 2010Assignee: The Procter & Gamble CompanyInventors: Reinhold Eichhorn, Detlef Gleich, Peter Junk, Christof Kleemann, Michael Odemer, Thorsten Pohl, Tobias Schwarz, Thomas Verstege, Martin Vitt, Juergen Wolf, Christoph Zegula

Patent number: 7707725Abstract: An electric shaver has a pivotally mounted longhair cutter unit that is pivoted outward into an operating position by motion of an operating switch of the shaver via an actuator that also causes the cutting blades of the longhair cutter unit to extend from the longhair cutter housing. Because the longhair cutter retracts into the longhair cutter housing when the longhair cutter unit is folded shut, the sharp edges of the blades are protected.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2008Date of Patent: May 4, 2010Assignee: Braun GmbHInventors: Reinhold Eichhorn, Detlef Gleich, Peter Junk, Christof Kleemann, Michael Odemer, Thorsten Pohl, Tobias Schwarz, Thomas Verstege, Martin Vitt, Juergen Wolf, Christoph Zegula

Publication number: 20090133266Abstract: A shaving unit for a dry shaver includes at least one outer cutter and one under cutter. Driven by a motor, the outer cutter and the under cutter are movable relative to each other in an oscillatory motion. The under cutter and the outer cutter, which are biased into relative engagement by at least one spring, slide along a common contact surface. The spring is arranged in such a way that its biasing force always acts at an angle to the direction of oscillation.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 5, 2009Publication date: May 28, 2009Inventors: Reinhold Eichhorn, Detlef Gleich, Peter Junk, Christof Kleemann, Michael Odemer, Thorsten Pohl, Tobias Schwarz, Thomas Verstege, Martin Vitt, Juergen Wolf, Christoph Zegula

Patent number: 7398786Abstract: A cleaning device for the shaving head of a dry shaving apparatus includes a receptacle formed in a housing of the cleaning device. The receptacle adapted to receive the shaving head for cleaning with a cleaning fluid. During the cleaning cycle, the dry shaving apparatus is lockable in the cleaning device by means of an interlock. The shaving head is exposed to heat from a heater for drying subsequent to cleaning. Following a drying cycle, release of the interlock is controlled by a control element provided in the cleaning device to prevent an operator's skin from being burned by an excessively hot shaving head in an immediately succeeding shaving operation.Type: GrantFiled: June 28, 2005Date of Patent: July 15, 2008Assignee: Braun GmbHInventors: Reinhold Eichhorn, Detlef Gleich, Sebastian Hottenrott, Peter Junk, Christof Kleemann, Michael Odemer, Thorsten Pohl, Tobias Schwarz, Jürgen Wolf

Publication number: 20050126611Abstract: The invention is directed to a cleaning device for the shaving head of a dry shaving apparatus. The cleaning device 1 includes a receptacle 2 adapted to receive the shaving head. A pump 5 operates to transfer a cleaning fluid 4 from a reservoir 3 into the receptacle 2. A controllable drain 9 between the lower region of the receptacle 2 and the reservoir 3 ensures that the cleaning fluid 4 does not return to the reservoir 3 until needed. This prolongs the period of time for which the cleaning fluid 4 is in contact with the shaving head to be cleaned, without it being necessary for the pump 5 to run permanently.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 2, 2004Publication date: June 16, 2005Inventors: Reinhold Eichhorn, Detlef Gleich, Sebastian Hottenrott, Peter Junk, Christof Kleemann, Michael Odemer, Thorsten Pohl, Tobias Schwarz, Jurgen Wolf
