  • Publication number: 20220205488
Abstract: An interference fit connection for a shaft comprises a hub having a conical through opening and a reduction sleeve having a cylindrical through opening for arrangement on the shaft and a conical outer circumference, where the cone angle of the conical outer circumference corresponds to the cone angle of the corresponding conical through opening of the hub. The hub is a two-component part having a first component made of steel and a second component made of fiber-reinforced plastics material. The second component made of fiber-reinforced plastics material is designed as a ring which is arranged on the outer circumference of a sleeve portion of the first component, which sleeve portion surrounds the reduction sleeve, so as to surround this sleeve portion. The fiber-reinforced plastics material has a higher modulus of elasticity than the steel of the first component.

  • Patent number: 8813335
Abstract: For a method for manufacturing a hollow shaft with at least one integral flange made of fiber composite, a plurality of intersecting windings of fiber material are applied onto a core. Moreover, the core has, for each flange, a radial spreader ring with an axial bearing surface. The windings are laid over an outer circumferential portion of the respective spreader ring and fixed. One or several inserts made of fiber material are inserted in the area of the spreader ring between the windings. The fixing of the wound fiber material is released, but is first still held on the spreader ring. Portions of the windings are then pulled off from the outer circumferential portion of the spreader ring and brought to rest on the axial bearing surface of the spreader ring in order to form a partial portion of a flange.

  • Patent number: 8783998
Abstract: A force-fitting clamping connection includes a first metal clamping surface, a second metal clamping surface, and a clamping element for clamping the clamping surfaces against one another. The first clamping surface forms a hardened fine surface structure with microreliefs and microdepressions. The second clamping surface has a lower hardness than the first clamping surface. Preferably, the first clamping surface is surface-treated by sand-blasting, shot-blasting or embossing before the hardening operation. This allows permanently high friction coefficient values between the clamping surfaces. A flange connection includes such a clamping connection for transmitting high torques.

  • Patent number: 6355337
Abstract: In a structural element of high unidirectional rigidity, in which unidirectional fiber strands are completely embedded in sheaths and said sheaths are connected to a shell skin and wherein part of the shell skin is in the form of stringers, there is provided an inner division of the cross-section of the shell skin thereby providing the strength of the fibers and the stiffness of the fibers in a direction perpendicular to the skin plane for every direction of loading.

  • Patent number: 6257858
Abstract: In a process for producing large-surface structural elements from fiber-reinforced composite materials by resin transfer moulding, a mold (2) that can be evacuated has a dimensionally stable part (4) and an elastically deformable part (6). The mold (2) has connections for injecting a resin mixture and connections to a pressure sink. A fibrous fabric (12) is set into the mold (2). Elongated pipes having a large supporting surface (22) and a cavity (24) that extends in the longitudinal direction of the pipes above the supporting surface (22) are provided on the surface of the fibrous fabric (12) opposite to the dimensionally stable mold part (4) to inject the resin mixture and to ensure the connection with the pressure sink. The supporting surface (22) of the pipes has a narrow slit (26) which extends substantially over the whole length of the pipes and which is in communication over its whole length with the cavity (24).

  • Patent number: 5924649
Abstract: An aircraft with supporting wings including wing shells with good shear strength made of fibrous composite materials, particularly fiber-reinforced plastics, having members taking up tensile and compressive forces on the inside of the wing shells. The members have unidirectional fibers extending longitudinally of the wing, and fixing elements which can be joined detachably to fuselage attachments are provided on the members at the root end of the wing. Stringers are constructed on the inside of the wing shells and spaced longitudinally of the shells, their fiber component being formed by a fiber layer joined to the fiber layer of the wing shell. Fiber bundles are arranged between spaced stringers as unidirectional stiffening elements. The fiber bundles are embedded in the synthetic resin matrix of the plane load-bearing structure and extend longitudinally of the supporting wing.

  • Patent number: 5922446
Abstract: In a structural member with large unidirectional rigidities unidirectional fiber bundles are completely embedded in shear resistant sheaths. The shear resistant sheaths are joined to a shear resistant torsion shell made up of skin layers by shear resistant vertical walls. A part of the vertical walls is shaped into stringers. Dividing layers (20) interrupting the passage of tension between adjacent unidirectional fiber bundles (30) are provided between the shear resistant sheaths (31) of the unidirectional fiber bundles (30).
