Abstract: A flexible tubular bag for hygienic articles has a sidewall (2) which forms a cylindrical bag and a front wall (bottom wall 11) provided with an outlet (21). The walls (sidewall 2, bottom wall 11) are formed of a single foil web (23). A covering flap (14) set on the sidewall (2) and/or front wall (bottom wall 11) so as to form a single piece therewith covers the outlet (21). The surface of the covering flap (14) may be detachably joined to the flexible tubular bag.

Abstract: A plastic bag for personal-hygiene articles, in particular for a stack of flexible pads, comprising a sheet-plastic tube forming an essentially cylindrical bag wall, both ends of said bag are initially closed, a suspension string located at one end and at the opposite end of said bag a frangible ring providing an opening allowing pads to be removed, the closure at the first one end being formed by a linear seam running between two diametrically opposite points on the cylindrical wall of the bag and passing through the longitudinal axis of the bag, the suspension string passing through the interior of the bag below the seam.

Abstract: A synchronized wrapping machine which receives a series of articles to be wrapped and forms and heat seals a wrap of heat sealable material around each article. The incoming articles are longitudinally aligned and are thereafter conveyed in preselected spaced relation into a tube continuously formed of longitudinally overlapped heat sealable material, with the tube thereafter being heat sealed together and severed intermediate adjacent articles. The overwrapped articles are engaged by upper and lower article carrier holding cups and are transported longitudinally between upper and lower indexing conveyors which drive the article carriers. During traverse of the indexing conveyors, the overwrapped articles are turned 90.degree. by the article carriers and the severed ends of the wrapping are tucked and folded before engagement with an end sealer which heat seals the ends together.
