  • Patent number: 9606017
Abstract: A method for determining an error in a pressure, which is measured by means of a pressure sensor in a pressure accumulator for accumulating fuel that can be let out of the pressure accumulator via an injection valve and injected into a cylinder, wherein the method comprises: determining at least two 3-tuples of a first pressure, a period of time, and a second pressure, wherein each first pressure is measured by the pressure sensor; wherein after measuring each first pressure, the valve is opened for a period of time; and wherein after the opening of the valve for the period of time, the second pressure is measured by the pressure sensor; and determining the error of the measured pressure from the at least two 3-tuples.

  • Patent number: 8950380
Abstract: An internal combustion engine has a fuel pressure sensor, the measured value of which represents a fuel pressure in a fuel reservoir of the internal combustion engine. Fuel is metered from the fuel reservoir into a combustion chamber. In a predefined idle operating state (LBZ) of the internal combustion engine, a speed of the internal combustion engine is regulated so as to reach a specific idling speed. During the regulation process, a value of a manipulated variable for metering the fuel is determined, the value being required to reach the specific idling speed. Furthermore, it is concluded that the measured fuel pressure value contains an error (ERR) when the determined required value of the manipulated variable differs from a reference value (REF) predefined for the predefined idle operating state (LBZ) of the internal combustion engine by at least a given amount or factor.

  • Patent number: 8424508
Abstract: A fuel pressure regulating system for an internal combustion engine has a pressure accumulator which is used to store fuel under pressure and to feed the combustion chambers of the internal combustion engine by fuel-supplying injectors, a high-pressure pump which supplies a fuel mass flux to the pressure accumulator, a first valve via which the fuel can be guided out of the pressure accumulator, and a second valve for restricting the fuel mass flux. The system is provided with a first control loop having the first valve as an actuator for regulating the pressure in the pressure accumulator, and a second control loop having the second valve as an actuator for regulating the pressure in the pressure accumulator, and the two control loops are embodied as cascade regulators, the first control loop being a master regulator and the second control loop being a follower regulator.

  • Patent number: 5607937
Abstract: The present invention relates to D,L-, L- and D-phenylalanine piperazides of formula (I) defined in claim 1 that inhibit blood coagulation, and thrombin and/or trypsin, respectively. The compounds are extraordinarily absorbable after oral, intraduodenal and in particular rectal administration and show only a low toxicity.
