  • Publication number: 20240123126
Abstract: A diaphragm for a breast pump comprises a cavity having an open end for receiving a nipple of a user and a closed end. A valve closure element is provided for forming part of a valve, the valve closure element extending from a bottom edge of the open end controlling a flow path to a milk container through a first part of a container opening. The diaphragm also defines a lid for sealing a second part of the container opening. In this way, the container can have a large lid opening, and the diaphragm seals one part of the opening as well as defining a fluid path through a valve to another part of the opening.

  • Publication number: 20240115778
Abstract: An expression assembly for breast pump comprises a diaphragm, a cover over the diaphragm to define a sealed space between them, and a breast shield to which the cover and diaphragm are coupled. The diaphragm defines a cavity having an open end for receiving a nipple of a user and a closed end. The open end is angled back at the top to cover more of the top of the breast. This enables the diaphragm to provide better stimulation of the breast as well reducing leakage.

  • Publication number: 20230115317
Abstract: A partitioning component (210) for dividing a feeding bottle (110) into two sections: one (125) associated with a container (120) part of the bottle and one (115) associated with a teat part (110) of the bottle. The partition allows for at least partial retention of liquid in the teat part even when the bottle is tipped in a horizontal position, the more natural position for feeding a user such as a baby or toddler. To enable flow of fluid between the two sections, the partitioning component comprises a passageway arrangement (215) which comprises one or more openings (225) and the passageway arrangement configured to enable flow of both liquid and air across the partition in different directions. This allows liquid to pass in, and air to pass out, of the teat section (115) during filling of the teat.

  • Publication number: 20230095110
Abstract: A drinking vessel, and a lid for a drinking vessel are provided, The lid has a rim from which a user can drink with a valve formed at the rim. A fluid coupling extends from the valve to the base of the drinking vessel. Drinking is by sucking from a rim of the lid. The fluid coupling means that the cup does not have to be tipped (to bring the liquid in contact with the rim) as is the case for a conventional cup with a so-called 360 degree drinking valve.

  • Publication number: 20220184283
Abstract: Complexity of a process of mounting a cushion (40) to an air passage element (20) of abreast pump device is decreased by only requiring a user to arrange the cushion (40) on the air passage element (20) in a first arrangement in which the cushion (40) is easily accessible. Particularly, the user does not need to perform cumbersome actions aimed at accurately putting the cushion (40) to an intended, correct position, as a predetermined mounting arrangement of the cushion (40) on the air passage element (20) is realized under the influence of underpressure prevailing at a back side of the air passage element (20). In the process, the cushion (40) is put to the predetermined mounting arrangement, wherein the cushion (40) is made to flex and/or move.

  • Publication number: 20220110834
Abstract: A teat (1) comprises a hollow teat body (10) including a deformable hollow mouthpiece (11) and a normally-closed valve (30) arranged at a level of the mouthpiece (11) or a level more downstream, the valve (30) being openable under the influence of suction forces exerted to the mouthpiece (11) by a user of the teat (1) during a liquid intake action. The valve (30) is included in a valve area (32) of a valve body (31) that is configured and arranged to prevent a closed-opened condition of the valve (30) from being changed under the influence of deformation of the mouthpiece (11) inflicted by a user of the teat (1) during a liquid intake action, so that the closed-opened condition of the valve (30) is controllable by means of suction forces exerted to the mouthpiece (11) by a user of the teat (1) during a liquid intake action.

  • Publication number: 20220061562
Abstract: A cover (12) is configured to be used with a liquid container for realizing a drinking device in conjunction with the liquid container. The cover (12) is particularly designed to prevent fluid communication therethrough in a default condition, and to allow fluid communication therethrough in an actuated condition. To that end, the cover (12) includes a gasket (30) and a cover body (20) accommodating the gasket (30), the cover body (20) comprising a liquid passage area (21) and a sealing rim (22). In order for the cover (12) to be leakproof to a high extent under all circumstances in which it is not desired to retrieve liquid through the cover (12), the gasket (30) has at least one structural feature (34) configured to secure sealing contact of the gasket (30) to the sealing rim (22) of the cover body (20) in the default condition of the cover (12).

  • Patent number: 11214474
Abstract: A domestic beverage dispensing device includes a conduit for supplying the beverage from keg to a tap and a cooling member. The cooling member has a passage surrounded by heat conductive material. A disposable tube of deformable material forms at least a part of the conduit and extends through the passage. The deformability of the material of the disposable tube is such that the outer surface of the wall of the tube abuts against the inner surface of the passage when the beverage is pressurized.

  • Publication number: 20210244865
Abstract: A breast pump device (100) is provided with a breast receiving portion (130), a pressure source (120) for generating an over- or under pressure, a controller (110) and a breast detector (140) for detecting a first state when no breast is in the breast receiving portion and a second state when a breast is in the breast receiving portion (130). The controller (110) changes a parameter of the breast pump device and/or outputs a notification if the breast detector (140) has detected the second state. The breast detector (140) detects the first or second state based on operating parameters of the pressure source (120). The controller (110) operates the pressure source (120) in a first operating mode if the breast detector (140) has detected the first state or in a second operating mode if the breast detector (140) has detected the second state.
