  • Publication number: 20210148011
Abstract: The present invention is concerned with filled multifilament yarn comprising a UHMWPE with an intrinsic viscosity, a filler with a diameter of at most 20 ?m in an amount such that the ratio of the mass of filler to the combined masses of UHMWPE and filler is between 0.02 and 0.50 and whereby the intrinsic viscosity is at most 225 times the filler ratio and whereby at least (i) the coefficient of variation in linear density between the filaments of said yarn is at most 12%, (ii) the coefficient of variation in tenacity (ten) between the filaments of said yarn is at most 12%, or (iii) the coefficient of variation of the Tenacity (TEN) of the multifilament yarn is at most 1.0%. The application is further concerned with a method to produce such yarn and articles comprising such yarn.

  • Publication number: 20200131672
Abstract: The invention is concerned with filled multifilament yarn according to the present invention whereby the filler ratio, ?, in the yarn is greater than 0.004 times the IV of the UHMWPE present in the multifilament yarn (IVYUH), i.e. ??0.004 g/dL*IVyH* and whereby the tenacity (TEN, in cN/dtex) of the filled multifilament yarn is such that TEN?IVYUH*(1.5-3.25*?), or whereby the tenacity of a filled monofilament in the yarn is ten?IVYUH*(2-4.35*X). The invention is further concerned with a method to manufacture said multifilament yarn and articles comprising said multifilament yarn.

  • Patent number: 10265971
Abstract: A printing machine includes a printing assembly and a dryer unit having a dryer, with the dryer having at least one first energy output device. The at least one first energy output device is arranged such that it can be moved over an actuating distance between at least one active position and at least one stop position. The actuating distance extends in a continuously linear manner in or opposite to an actuating direction over at least 75% of its entire length. The actuating direction deviates by a maximum of 40° from at least one horizontal direction. The actuating direction deviates by a maximum of 40° from a normal direction of an average surface normal of an entire section, located in an active region of the at least one first energy device, of a transport path which is provided for a web-type printing machine. A method of operating a printing machine is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9643436
Abstract: A printing press has a printing unit with a print head, which is configured as an ink jet printing head, and a printing material guiding element which can be rotated about a respective rotational axis. The print can be moved along an actuating path in an actuating direction. The actuating direction has a component which is oriented orthogonally to an axial defined by the rotational axis of the printing material guiding element. A threading assembly, for threading in a printing material web along a threading path, is arranged within the printing unit. Parts of the threading path are spaced at least two centimeters from the axial direction in relation to every target region of every nozzle of every printing head of the printing unit. A method for threading a printing material web into the printing unit utilizes the threading assembly.

  • Patent number: 9403367
Abstract: A printing machine has a printing unit which has a printing-material conducting element that can be rotated about an axis of rotation defining an axial direction and at least four printing heads. Four positioning devices are arranged, by the use of each of which, at least one printing head can be arranged at least either in a respective printing position associated with the printing head or in a respective idle position associated with a printing head. At least one first printing head of the printing heads can be arranged either in a first printing position associated with that first printing head or in a first idle position associated with that first printing head.
