  • Patent number: 10207443
Abstract: A method for manufacturing insulating bars made from a thermoplastic material, comprising: producing a band-shaped extrudate having a substantially rectangular cross-section from the thermoplastic material; producing an individual insulating bar or a plurality of insulating bars from the band-shaped extrudate in the longitudinal direction thereof; and severing the insulating bar or bars arrangement in the longitudinal direction thereof to provide separated insulating bars.

  • Publication number: 20170001358
Abstract: So that insulating bars for composite profiles made from a thermoplastic plastics material may be manufactured economically with the respectively required dimensions and cross sectional shapes, in particular also having a corrugated structure of the base body, it is proposed that, in a first step, a strip-like extrudate having a substantially rectangular cross section should be produced from the plastics material and, in a subsequent step, an insulating bar arrangement having the shape of an individual insulating bar or the shape of a plurality of insulating bars that are joined together and are arranged parallel next to one another should be produced from the strip-like extrudate, and where appropriate the insulating bar arrangement should be severed in its longitudinal direction to give mutually separated insulating bars.

  • Patent number: 8206782
Abstract: The present invention describes a process for the surface finishing of materials via application of specific polymethacrylate layers. The polymethacrylate layers are composed of blends of at least two (co)polymers of polymethacrylates, and specific “reactive monomers” are present here in a polymerized mixture which forms the polymethacrylate layer. At the application temperature established, these form a chemical and, where appropriate, also a physical bond to the substrate, and therefore have adhesion-promoting action.

  • Patent number: 8092731
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a thermoplastic plastic film. According to said method, the thermoplastic plastic is melted and transported in an extrusion installation comprising an extruder, an extrusion nozzle with a wide-slot delivery opening and a chill roll, which is fixed to a roll system and then leaves the delivery opening of the extrusion nozzle in the form of a flat melted web. Said melted web is then applied to the chill roll and is cooled. The invention is characterised in that it uses an extrusion installation, in which the distance between the delivery opening of the extrusion nozzle and the surface of the cooled roll does not vary by more than +/?50 ?m during the operating time. The invention also relates to a film of this type and to uses of the latter.
