  • Patent number: 11800302
Abstract: A method for transmitting information relating to a hearing device, in particular a hearing aid, to an external device. The hearing device is thereby placed in an immediate environment of the external device and the hearing device broadcasts a generally receivable, unencrypted first information item containing metadata about the hearing device and/or access data. The unencrypted first information item is received by the external device. The external device changes its operating mode directly or indirectly as a result of the first information item and continues to be operated with the modified operating mode.

  • Publication number: 20230300541
Abstract: A method operates a hearing aid, which has a sensor, a microphone, and a receiver. Breathing difficulties of a wearer are inferred on the basis of measurement data created by the sensor and a measure for a risk is determined based thereon. An activity helping the wearer is carried out depending on the measure. Furthermore, the hearing aid is configured for carrying out the method.

  • Patent number: 11750990
Abstract: A method for automatically setting at least one signal processing parameter of a hearing device. The immediate surroundings of the hearing device are examined for the presence of at least one node of a wireless communication network. Characteristic information of a detected node is ascertained for a node that has been found to be present and the characteristic information for the detected node is compared with a first dataset of first characteristic information that was respectively stored beforehand for nodes that are marked as known. The comparison results are used to characterize the node that has been detected as present as a known node or as an unknown node on the basis of the characteristic information. The ascertained characteristic information of the detected node is used as a basis for setting the at least one parameter for the signal processing of the hearing device.

  • Publication number: 20220399733
Abstract: A method charges an energy storage unit of a mobile device, in particular a hearing aid, which is alternately able to be charged in charging phases and able to be used in use phases. For the charging in an upcoming charging phase, a probable duration of the upcoming charging phase and a probable energy consumption of a subsequent use phase are determined based on past charging phases and past use phases. A required charge for the energy storage unit is calculated based on the probable energy consumption. A charging schema for charging the energy storage unit is set for the upcoming charging phase based on the required charge and the probable duration. A mobile device and a charging device are also specified.

  • Patent number: 11310608
Abstract: In a method for the training of a listening situation classifier for a hearing aid, a user is presented with a number of acoustic signals by use of a terminal device, which prompts the user to indicate the signal source of the signal or the particular presented signal. The training data is adapted for the listening situation classifier in dependence on the user's indication of the presented signal or one of the possibly several signals presented and updates the listening situation classifier by use of the training data.

  • Patent number: 10880655
Abstract: A method for operating a hearing apparatus system with at least one hearing apparatus uses a first sensor of the hearing apparatus to capture a first measured variable characteristic of an actual wearing situation. If the first measured variable and/or a variation over time derived therefrom satisfies at least one prescribed first criterion, it is inferred that the hearing apparatus has had a tumble. If the tumble is detected to have taken place, at least one further measured variable and/or a variation over time derived therefrom is captured, and the at least one further measured variable is used to ascertain whether the hearing apparatus is arranged on the head of a hearing device wearer after the tumble.

  • Publication number: 20180324532
Abstract: A hearing system has a binaural hearing apparatus for supplying a user of the hearing system with a spatially positioned acoustic signal. The hearing system further includes a signal processing unit for generating the acoustic signal and a position sensor for determining a current position of the user. The acoustic signal is constructed such that it simulates for the user a spatially positioned virtual signal source in such a way that a position of the virtual signal source corresponds to a position of a destination of the user.
