  • Publication number: 20160201228
Abstract: A device for a flat card or roller card for cotton, synthetic fibres and the like having a doffer and nip rolls, the device including a stripper roll adapted for being rotatably mounted between the doffer and the nip rolls for stripping fibre material from the doffer and delivering the stripped fibre to the nip rolls. The stripper roll has a roll body having clothing teeth in a region of its curved surface. The clothing teeth of the clothing are formed directly on the curved surface of the roll body. The roll body and the clothing teeth of the clothing are of one-piece construction.

  • Patent number: 7874046
Abstract: An apparatus on a spinning preparation machine for monitoring and/or adjusting clearances at components has a clothed, high-speed roller located facing at least one clothed and/or unclothed component and the clearance between the components facing one another is alterable. The roller and opposed component(s) are electrically isolated with respect to one another and are connected as contact elements to an electrical power supply line in which a measuring device for ascertaining contact is located. In order to avoid an undesirably heavy contact between the components, electric signals are emitted upon contacts with the clothing of the roller and the measuring device is arranged quantitatively to determine the contacts.

  • Patent number: 7650672
Abstract: In an apparatus on a spinning preparation machine, for example, a flat card, draw frame or the like, for monitoring at least one sliver, having two rotating rollers that form a roller nip through which at least one sliver passes, an optical monitoring arrangement (sensor) that monitors the presence of the sliver is provided in the vicinity of the rollers. To permit a reliable and trouble-free monitoring of sliver breakage in a structurally simple manner, the sensor arrangement is arranged in the region between the shared tangents to the peripheral surfaces of the rollers, the tangents being arranged perpendicularly to the running direction of the fiber, and the optical path of the sensor runs parallel to the axles of the rollers.

  • Patent number: 7404237
Abstract: In an apparatus at a spinning preparation machine for changing sliver cans, sliver is delivered by a delivery device and deposited in a sliver can. The apparatus comprises means for moving a full sliver can away from the region of the delivery device and means for subsequently bringing in an empty sliver can, from a reserve position to the region of the delivery device. An intermediate storage device is arranged to be brought in to the delivery device during changing of the sliver cans is provided. In order to avoid disadvantageous piling up of the sliver on the intermediate storage device and/or in the sliver can and to allow can changing at maximum sliver production speeds, the immediate storage device is arranged to be driven such that it is movable whilst collecting the sliver.

  • Patent number: 7389566
Abstract: In an apparatus at a spinning preparation machine for changing sliver cans, a sliver is delivered by a rotary plate 25 and deposited in a sliver can 15. Means are provided for moving a full sliver can 15, away from the region of the rotary plate for subsequently bringing in an empty sliver can 152 from a position of readiness to the region of the rotary plate. A first can path 271 is provided in the region of the rotary plate and a second can path 272 is provided parallel to the first can path, on each of which can paths a can carrier (26; 30) is movable in two directions. In order to provide an advantageous apparatus for sliver can changing, a can carrier 30 on the second can path 272 is capable of delivering an empty can to, and collecting a full can from, the first can path 27.

  • Patent number: 7251863
Abstract: A draw frame for textile fiber slivers has a drawing system of successively arranged assemblies of rollers comprising a bottom and a top roller, in which, during operation, the top rollers are pressed against the bottom rollers by weighted pressing devices. When operation is suspended, the bearings of the top rollers are relieved of the weighting by the pressing devices. On interruption to continuous operation the top output roller or the top output rollers is/are capable of being relieved of loading in such a way that no or only slight pressure is exerted on the fiber slivers. To avoid or reduce undesirable formation of windings in a simple manner, resiliently loaded elements that lift the top roller bearings after the pressing devices have been relieved of loading are associated with the bearings of at least one top roller.

  • Patent number: 7174606
Abstract: A pressure cylinder including a cylinder housing having one end including an opening. A piston is axially displaceable within the cylinder housing. A piston rod is coupled to the piston and extends through the opening at the one end of the cylinder. A cylinder base closes off the cylinder at an end of the cylinder housing opposite the opening. The cylinder also includes a pressure chamber between the piston and the cylinder base and capable of being pressurized by a pressure medium and a switching disk for interacting with a switch to determine the position of the piston. The switching disk is displaceably positioned in the pressure chamber in frictional engagement and coaxially with the piston rod so that the switching disk passes to a starting position near the piston in response to a pressure impulse overcoming the frictional engagement when the pressure chamber is first pressurized.

  • Patent number: 7051405
Abstract: In a device on a draw frame for textile slivers, having roller pairs arranged one after the other and a cleaning device, for example a cleaning lip, cleaning rod, for each upper roller, in which the loading device for each upper roller has at least two presser elements, the cleaning device is mounted on the loading device. In order to avoid impairment of the resilient covering of the upper roller when a presser element has been raised and to allow adaptable and stable guidance/mounting, each cleaning device is mounted by its ends on a presser element and the presser element has a bearing element for the cleaning device.

  • Patent number: 6971145
Abstract: A drawing mechanism for the doubling and drafting of fibre slivers, has a drawing mechanism frame for accommodating the drawing mechanism, which has at least two pairs of rollers each comprising an upper roller, and a lower roller, and has means for adjusting the spacing of at least one of the lower rollers in relation to another lower roller, in each case having a mounting device for accommodating the lower roller, wherein lower rollers are arranged to be driven by a drive device comprising at least one drive element endlessly revolving around pulley wheels. In order, by simple means in terms of construction, to make possible a considerable reduction in the work and time required for adjustment of the lower roller(s) and, accordingly, of the extent(s) of the drawing zone(s), the mounting device(s) are made adjustable by the drive device.

  • Patent number: 6910249
Abstract: An apparatus on a draw frame for textile fiber slivers has a drawing system having weighting of the top rollers of successively arranged pairs of rollers comprising a bottom and a top roller. During operation, the top rollers are pressed against the bottom rollers by weighted pressure elements in pressure arms. Two pressure elements with a common holding element are associated with each top roller and the weighting device is removable. To improve the said apparatus, a pressure element is rotatably or pivotally mounted at a center of rotation or a pivot bearing and the pressure elements are connected with one another by a supporting element.
