  • Patent number: 8342772
Abstract: A civil engineering machine for spreading material for spreading on soils or base materials, and in particular a civil engineering machine for spreading binders for soil or base material stabilization, has a container for material for spreading to receive the material for spreading and a spreading arrangement having one or more outlet openings for the discharge of the material for spreading. An anti-dust arrangement is arranged below the outlet openings, and is characterized in that there is created below the outlet openings a spreading compartment which is bounded by one or more first anti-dust members and in that there is created an anti-dust space which is bounded by one or more second anti-dust members.

  • Patent number: 8292371
Abstract: An adaptive advance control system for a construction machine senses the reaction forces applied by the ground surface to a milling drum, and in response to the sensed changes in those reaction forces controls the rate of lowering the milling drum into the ground surface. Early and rapid detection of such changes in reaction forces allow the control system to aid in preventing lurch forward events of the construction machine.

  • Publication number: 20120128419
Abstract: In a ground working machine (1) for milling soils (2) or traffic areas, it is provided that a controller (18) for terminating the milling process controls the milling depth of a milling device (8) along a specified trajectory (24) in conjunction with simultaneous forward and reverse travel (5,7), thus enabling the milling device (8) to be raised into the upper position (9) disengaged from the ground without a depression (22) resulting from raising the milling device (8) remaining in the worked ground surface (3).

  • Publication number: 20120090909
Abstract: A civil engineering machine includes an arrangement for assisting the driver of the machine when reversing which has a calculating unit to determine data which defines at least one trajectory of the civil engineering machine as a function of the position of the front and rear running gear, both as a function of a steering angle and as a function of a mode of steering. The arrangement for assisting the driver of the machine when reversing also has an image detecting unit for detecting an image of the rear part of the civil engineering machine and a display unit for displaying the detected image of the rear part of the civil engineering machine. An image processing unit superimposes a representation of the at least one trajectory on the image of the rear part of the civil engineering machine which is displayed on the display unit.

  • Patent number: 8128177
Abstract: An adaptive advance control system for a construction machine senses the reaction forces applied by the ground surface to a milling drum, and in response to the sensed changes in those reaction forces controls the motive power applied to an advance drive of the machine. Early and rapid detection of such changes in reaction forces allow the control system to aid in preventing lurch forward events of the construction machine.

  • Publication number: 20100209189
Abstract: The invention relates to a stabilizer or recycler which has a rotor housing 8, in which a milling/mixing rotor 9 is arranged, and a unit 13 for discharging binder for soil or base material stabilization. In the civil engineering machine according to the invention, at least part of the supply container 14 for the binder, and in particular the part thereof which is of larger volume, is arranged to the rear of the milling/mixing rotor 9 in the direction of working. The center of gravity A of the supply container 14 is preferably arranged to the rear of the axis of rotation 10 of the milling/mixing rotor 9 in the direction of working. This special way in which the supply container is arranged gives an optimum weight distribution. Whereas the supply container 14, which is relatively heavy when filled with binder, is situated mainly to the rear of the milling/mixing rotor 9, the drive unit 12 of the civil engineering machine can be arranged ahead of the milling/mixing rotor.

The invention relates in this case both to a civil engineering machine which is intended solely for discharging the binder and to a civil engineering machine, and in particular a stabilizer or recycler, which has a milling or mixing rotor by which, directly after the discharge, the binder can be mixed into the soil or base material which has been milled up.
