  • Publication number: 20240342808
Abstract: A one-piece cutting head for a drill bit includes a main cutting edge that extends between radial extremities of the cutting head. The main cutting edge is disposed between main rake surfaces and main relief surfaces. Each main rake surface includes one or more rake facets, and each main relief surface includes one or more relief facets. Adjacent rake facets and relief facets define a primary transverse edge therebetween that extends away from the main cutting edge. The cutting head further includes a plurality of side cutters that are transverse to the main cutting edge and that propagate from the primary transverse edge to a radial extremity of the cutting head. Each side cutter includes a side cutting edge between a side cutting rake facet and a side cutting relief facet.

  • Publication number: 20240318702
Abstract: A gas pressure spring is provided including a working piston which is guided displaceably in a working cylinder along a stroke axis, a compensating cylinder encloses the working cylinder, and a compensating piston which is of hollow-cylindrical shape and is guided displaceably in the compensating cylinder along the stroke axis. The working cylinder has an open end, at which the compensating cylinder forms a projection beyond the working cylinder with a closed end. The compensating piston separates a working chamber, which is arranged in the working cylinder, a compensating chamber, which is arranged between the working cylinder and the compensating cylinder, and a restoring chamber, which is arranged in the projection from one another. A distance, radially with respect to the stroke axis, of the compensating cylinder from the working cylinder is greater in the stroke range than in an end region of the working cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20230303051
Abstract: In a procedure for monitoring a wheel brake of a vehicle, in a procedural cycle a predefined brake pressure is set at the wheel brake, and a current value of a brake characteristic is determined. The current value is compared with a stored idealised value. The current value of the brake characteristic is stored and evaluated, and the comparison of the current value with the stored idealised value and/or a difference between the current and the idealised value may also be evaluated.

  • Patent number: 11667272
Abstract: A method of calibrating a solenoid actuated valve includes: providing a brake system including a fluid pressure source: providing a valve having a solenoid, and wherein the valve is in fluid communication with the fluid pressure source; operating the fluid pressure source to provide a constant flow of fluid to the valve; energizing the solenoid of the valve with a constant current such that fluid flows through the valve; measuring the pressure of the fluid flowing at the valve; adjusting the current sent to the solenoid until a predetermined pressure has been obtained; storing a nominal current value of the current required to obtain the predetermined pressure; and calibrating the valve by adding a correction offset factor to the nominal current value for future actuation of the solenoid of the valve.
