  • Publication number: 20210344061
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a thermal interface in a battery includes providing of at least one battery module and at least one receiving structure, with a receiving region featuring a heat-transmission surface to accommodate a side of the battery module, measuring of the receiving region and/or the side of the battery module. The method further includes determining, based on the measuring, a size and shape of a gap that forms between the heat-transmission surface and the side of the battery module. Additionally, the method includes determining of a dosage specification for a heat-conducting material for filling of the gap, applying of the heat-conducting material onto the heat-transmission surface and/or to the side of the battery module according to the determined dosage specification, and installing the battery module in the intended installation position by compressing of the applied heat-conducting material.

  • Patent number: 7981236
Abstract: A method and a device for bonding at least two sheets, is disclosed. The sheets may be joined by a groove and are connected to each other at least in one contact area in the sheet surface of the first sheet. The sheets may first be shaped whereby the first sheet may be shaped with at least one hook which forms an angle with the sheet surface and the second sheet may be shaped with at least one groove and one leg. The hook may be accommodated by the groove and the leg may be substantially parallel to the contact area of the first sheet. The shaped sheets are then bonded to each other, whereby the hook is inserted in the groove and the leg is bonded to the contact area.

  • Patent number: 7384063
Abstract: A vehicle door trim for a motor vehicle with a head impact protection device for a vehicle occupant is provided. In one embodiment, the door trim includes a curb carrier of the vehicle door trim in which is located a cutout for fixing the head impact protection device in the assembled position of the vehicle door trim in an area close to the side window of the vehicle door, a head impact protection device, which comprises an airbag carrier joined to the curb carrier so as to be airtight, an airbag, which on the rim side is fixed to the airbag carrier so as to be airtight, and a gas generator, which may be permanently joined to the airbag carrier. The vehicle door trim covers a foam layer over the curb carrier and, in the area of the cutout, over the airbag carrier. A decorative layer on the side of the foam layer facing away from the curb carrier is provided. The foam layer is designed so that on actuation of the head impact protection device, it may lift easily from the airbag carrier.

  • Patent number: 7291785
Abstract: A crossmember module for attachment under an instrument panel of a motor vehicle. The crossmember module includes a metal tube surrounded at least in part with plastic. The metal tube has a central, tubular cross-section and flattened ends. Each flattened end has a first mounting hole and a plastic tab that is injection molded onto each flattened end. The crossmember also has a groove-shaped plastic duct for guiding a wiring harness relative to the metal tube. Different receivers may optionally be molded on in one piece in the plastic enabling the connection of various adjacent components.
