  • Patent number: 8371510
Abstract: A module for insertion into a data carrier body to form a data carrier, the module having a contact interface with a contact area, at least one integrated circuit and a display device with a display area which are interconnected. Method for producing the module, the data carrier body and the data carrier. The contact interface and the display device of the module are disposable in the data carrier body such that the contact area of the contact interface and the display area of the display device point in opposite directions. The data carrier body thus possesses a through opening into which the module is insertable as described.

  • Patent number: 8297515
Abstract: A method for producing a portable card-shaped data carrier with a high embossing. The method comprises the steps of supplying a planar circuit carrier, integrating the circuit carrier in a card-shaped data carrier body of the data carrier and high embossing the data carrier body. At least one surface area of the circuit carrier and at least one through opening is produced and the data carrier body is high embossed in an embossing area overlapping with the at least one surface area of the circuit carrier. In this fashion an easy high embossing of a corresponding data carrier is rendered possible.

  • Publication number: 20110147463
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a portable card-shaped data carrier (10) with a high embossing (65). It comprises the steps of supplying a planar circuit carrier (30), integrating the circuit carrier (30) in a card-shaped data carrier body (20) of the data carrier (10) and high embossing the data carrier body (20). Therein in at least one surface area (40) of the circuit carrier (30) at least one through opening (52; 54; 56) is produced and the data carrier body (20) is high embossed in an embossing area (60) overlapping with the at least one surface area (40) of the circuit carrier (30). In this fashion an easy high embossing of a corresponding data carrier (10) is rendered possible.

  • Publication number: 20100252639
Abstract: The invention relates to a module (10) for insertion into a data carrier body (110), the module (10) comprising a contact interface (20) with a contact area (22), at least one integrated circuit (30, 30?, 30?) and a display device (40) with a display area (42) which are interconnected, and to the data carrier body (110) and to a data carrier (100) comprising the data carrier body (110) with the inserted module (10). The invention relates further to methods for producing the module (10), the data carrier body (110) and the data carrier (100). The contact interface (20) and the display device (40) of the module (10) are disposable in the data carrier body (110) such that the contact area (22) of the contact interface (20) and the display area (42) of the display device (40) point in opposite directions. The data carrier body (110) thus possesses a through opening (120) into which the module (10) is insertable as described.

  • Patent number: 7209014
Abstract: Proposed is a device actuated by a transponder for the generation of a switch signal. The device is based on an oscillating circuit (10) with a capacitance (C1), an identification coil (L1) and an oscillator amplifier (12). Connected to the oscillating circuit (10) is a frequency observer (20) which evaluates the frequency (f1) tuned in the oscillating circuit (10) and which when finding a change emits a switch signal (S). A change of the frequency in the oscillating circuit (10) is effected by the approach of a transponder (60). The device permits a nearly loadless transponder identification.

  • Patent number: 6356856
Abstract: A system for measuring the speed of a person while running or walking along a surface. A single acceleration sensor measures the acceleration in the forward direction and provides an acceleration signal which is amplified and subsequently sampled by analog to digital converter. The digital signal is processed by a microprocessor which executes an algorithm that determines the stride length and the stride duration from the digitized acceleration signal and calculates the speed and the distance traversed. The information thus obtained is transmitted by means of a radio frequency transmitter and received by a radio frequency receiver in a watch or other device which comprises a display which can be viewed by the runner or walker. The speed and distance traversed is displayed on the display, along with other useful information, such as average speed, maximum speed, total distance traversed, calories expended, and heart beat.

  • Patent number: 6188749
Abstract: An X-ray examination apparatus (1), including an X-ray source (2) and an X-ray detector (5), is provided with an X-ray filter (6) which is arranged between the X-ray source and the X-ray detector. The X-ray filter (6) includes a plurality of filter elements (7) whose X-ray absorptivity can be adjusted by adjustment of a quantity of X-ray absorbing liquid (14) within the individual filter elements; a first end of individual filter elements communicates with the X-ray absorbing liquid whereas a second end communicates with an X-ray transparent liquid (12). The X-ray filter is preferably provided with a pressure control system for independent control of the liquid pressure in individual row ducts (11) and individual column ducts (13). Individual filter elements are preferably provided with a piston for separating the X-ray absorbing liquid from the X-ray transparent liquid.
