  • Patent number: 11404216
Abstract: A capacitor assembly has a capacitor, a first terminal, a cooling device and a housing which contains the capacitor. The first terminal has a first heat absorbing part and a first heat dissipating part. The first terminal dissipates heat from a first side of the capacitor to the cooling device via the first heat absorbing part and the first heat dissipating part. The first side of the capacitor faces away from the cooling device.

  • Patent number: 11095211
Abstract: A control method and a switching device are provided for a separately excited synchronous machine as a drive in a hybrid or electric vehicle. The switching device converts and/or distributes electrical energy within the vehicle, in particular the hybrid or electric vehicle, wherein an asymmetric full bridge is provided, in the bridge branch of which a rotor of an SSM is arranged. Switches are provided in the asymmetric full bridge in order to provide a pulse width modulation corresponding to a desired motor rotational speed and power of the SSM. The device is characterized in that it has a short-circuit branch extending in parallel with the bridge branch of the asymmetric full bridge, by which short-circuit branch the rotor of the SSM is able to be short-circuited.

  • Patent number: 10862374
Abstract: A rotor for a synchronous machine of a motor vehicle includes an excitation coil configured to generate a magnetic field necessary for rotation of the rotor in a stator of the synchronous machine. The rotor also includes a supply circuit, to which energy is fed contactlessly such that the supply circuit supplies the excitation coil with the energy. The rotor also includes a demagnetization circuit configured to demagnetize the excitation coil, which, upon collapse of the energy supply of the excitation coil, diverts a current flowing through the excitation coil into a circuit branch in which at least one component for demagnetization is arranged, wherein the at least one component is also configured to perform a protection function to protect the supply circuit against an induced voltage generated at the excitation coil.

  • Patent number: 9300236
Abstract: A process for increasing the excitation current, particularly when activating the alternator, whose rectified alternator voltage is regulated by way of a regulator, is provided. For regulating the alternator voltage, the regulator sets the excitation current of an excitation winding of the alternator. The regulator further receives a phase signal. A rapid increasing of the excitation current to a defined value takes place, during which the phase signal is analyzed simultaneously. This rapid increasing continues until the phase signal or a quantity derived therefrom meets a defined condition with respect to the alternator voltage. Therefore, a further increasing of the excitation current takes place, preferably at a rate of change reduced with respect to the previous rapid increase.
