  • Publication number: 20140199906
Abstract: The invention relates to a cyanate resin that can be obtained by mixing at least (i) one difunctional, oligofunctional and/or polyfunctional cyanate and/or of at least one prepolymer thereof, optionally in combination with at least one additional copolymerizable component and (ii) at least one siloxane and/or a siloxane-containing compound, characterized in that said resin contains a linear polydialkylsiloxane with a viscosity ranging from 500 to 1500 and/or a polydialkylsiloxane caprolactone or caprolactam copolymer as siloxane and/or siloxane-containing compound. The invention further relates to a substrate that is saturated or coated with said type of cyanate resin, and a duromer that can be obtained by compressing and/or heating the cyanate resin or the saturated or coated substrate.

  • Patent number: 8242035
Abstract: A textile web material impregnated with a mixture that contains at least a prepolymer prepolymerized from a starting material of one or more bifunctional or polyfunctional organic cyanates and from a starting material of one or more bifunctional or polyfunctional aromatic alcohols, wherein the one or more bifunctional or polyfunctional organic cyanates and the one or more bifunctional or polyfunctional aromatic alcohols are present in weight ratios ensuring a molar ratio of the OCN groups to the OH groups between 95:5 and 70:30 prior to prepolymerization. The mixture further contains one or more fillers.

  • Publication number: 20080119630
Abstract: A prepolymer is prepared from a starting material a) of one or more bifunctional or polyfunctional organic cyanates; and a starting material b) of one or more bifunctional or polyfunctional aromatic alcohols and/or one or more bifunctional or polyfunctional aliphatic alcohols substituted in the aliphatic group with at least one fluorine atom, wherein the starting materials a) and b) are present in a weight ratio ensuring a molar ratio of the OCN groups to the OH groups between 95:5 and 70:30 in the starting materials a) and b). The prepolymer has a degree of crosslinking that is below the gel point of the prepolymer.

  • Publication number: 20070251170
Abstract: A structural member (100), particularly for lightweight construction, is described, comprising a two-dimensional extent, and a plurality of adjacent arranged hollow shaped elements (11, 11A) extending across the two-dimensional extent of the structural member, wherein the hollow shaped elements (11, 11A) each have a continuous peripheral side wall (12) and the adjacent hollow shaped elements are connected to each other at their side walls, and wherein two structural spacing parts (15,16), which extend in parallel to the two-dimensional extent of the structural member and form arrangements of the hollow shaped elements (11, 11A), wherein each of the structural spacing parts (15, 16) has a base layer (13, 14) on which the hollow shaped elements (11, 11A) belonging to this structural spacing part (15, 16) are arranged at mutual intervals, and the structural spacing parts (15, 16) are arranged in opposite orientation so that the hollow shaped elements (11, 11A) of the first structural spacing part (15) protrude i

  • Patent number: 6822067
Abstract: The invention describes a fast curable system for the preparation of amine modified thermosettings containing triazine groups, the system comprising at least one polyfuctional organic monomeric or prepolymerized cyanate and at least one primary or secondary amine, wherein the amount of amine is selected such that the molar ratio of cyanate radicals to amine radicals is from 95:5 to 50:50, and optionally additional additives, characterized in that the amine is present in a form having a blocked or decreased reactivity which can be reactivated without reacting it with a chemical participant of reaction. Further, it is directed to amine modified thermosetting materials containing triazine groups as well as to a method for preparing same.
