Abstract: A device for emptying flexible or rigid containers having flexible discharge stubs for in bulk goods where the discharge stubs are sealable by being tied shut and always issue into the emptying device from where the in bulk goods are conveyed out by partial vacuum or free fall. The emptying device (6) consists of an upright cylindrical housing (7) having an outside diameter less than the inside diameter of the discharge stub (4). This housing, when connected, is spanned by the discharge stub (4). At least two jaws (10) which when closed are spaced away from the housing wall are provided to which are mounted at least one elastic belt, a cord (11) or the like which in the closed state of the jaws (10) rests while prestressed over the entire periphery of the housing (7) against the discharge stub (4) spanning the housing (7).

Abstract: An apparatus for weighing granular or pulverulent bulk goods, where the bulk good is moved by reduced pressure from a silo through at least one conveyance duct to a scale and where the flow of material is lowered by increasing the proportion of air toward the end of the conveyance procedure, is designed in such a manner as to make possible accurate and precise metering at high conveyance rates.

Abstract: In a process for the production of powdered sugar, and an apparatus for carrying out the process, refined crystalline sugar is pulverized in a disintegrator positioned above a discharge hopper having filter walls to allow air to escape, the pulverized sugar being passed from a discharge hopper of the disintegrator into a fluidization unit in which the sugar is subjected to fluidization with air. Fluidization is then stopped, and the sugar is discharged.

Abstract: A vehicle for receiving, transporting, measuring and delivering weighed amounts of flowable pulverulent material, such as wheat flour, has a blower which draws the material from a storage container to a selected one of a plurality of measuring containers where it is weighed and the weighed contents are then emptied by the blower for delivery to the customer, such as a bakery. A plurality of measuring containers are provided so that one may be filling while another is discharging. The vehicle is automated with sensing switches and valves regulating the operation.

Abstract: Sifting equipment for fine-grained bulk material, particularly flour, provided with a transit chamber inserted in the transmission line of the bulk material and containing a sieve, exposed to the action of a blower, is improved by having the transit chamber (9) mounted vertically as regards its lengthwise axis.
