  • Publication number: 20250257258
Abstract: Methods and compositions utilize a sand obtained by combining a dirty sand with a chemical additive, where the combination decreases the water drain time through the sand compared to the sand without the chemical additive. The decrease of water drain time reduces the amount of time to dry the sand after a wash, and when using the sand for proppant, promotes conductivity of fluid through the sand when the sand is in a fracture of a subterranean formation.

  • Patent number: 11906277
Abstract: Disclosed is a firing device for shock tube. Shock tube is a non-electric explosive initiator, well known to those of ordinary skill in the art. The firing device is configured to provide a redundant dual-ignition capability for connected shock tube. In this way, a second attempt to initiate the shock tube can be made immediately following a failed first attempt. To provide this functionality, the firing device includes a primer tray that can be preloaded with two primers. Using an operably connected selector, the primer tray can be rotated between use positions that individually locate each primer for detonation.

  • Patent number: 11292959
Abstract: Disclosed herein are compositions and methods for delaying crosslinking of aqueous crosslinkable polymers such as polysaccharides in injectable compositions for hydraulic fracturing and related applications. The compositions and methods provide delayed crosslinking at high temperatures and pressures, such as those encountered by hydraulic fracturing compositions injected into subterranean environments. Compositions include injectable solutions comprising a competing agent that is a reaction product of a dialdehyde having 2 to 4 carbon atoms with a non-polymeric cis-hydroxyl compound. Provided are methods of making and using delayed-crosslinking compositions comprising crosslinker compositions containing zirconium complexes and the competing agents.
