  • Patent number: 9312898
Abstract: An apparatus for handling a received signal comprises a reception device, a mixer unit and a compensating unit. The reception unit can receive a received signal. The received signal has at least one signal component at a first frequency. Furthermore, the mixer unit can combine the received signal and a compensating signal using at least one active element in order to obtain a compensated received signal. In addition, the mixer unit can produce a mixer output signal on the basis of the compensated received signal and a local oscillator signal. In this case, the mixer output signal has a signal component, corresponding to the at least one signal component of the received signal, at a second frequency. The first frequency is higher than the second frequency.

  • Patent number: 9205820
Abstract: A pulsation damping capsule for connection to the pressure side of a piston pump having a metal membrane housing that is assembled from two membrane shells joined together in a hermetically sealed manner. The metal membrane housing separates an internal space from a surrounding pressure medium. The membrane shells are connected along a circumferential seam such that the pulsation damping capsule can compress and expand in a resilient-elastic manner as an energy convertor when subjected to external pressure as a result of pressure medium pulses. A reshapeable mass is arranged in the internal space and when the membrane shells are in the resilient-elastically compressed state, the mass completely fills an intermediate space that remains between the two membrane shells, so that the mass is precisely matched to the internal contour of the reshaped membrane shells while avoiding the formation of hollow spaces.

  • Patent number: 9059879
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention relates to a test signal generator configured to generate a single sideband (SSB) test signal that is used for testing components of one or more receiver chains to identify errors in the receiver chains. In one embodiment, the circuit comprises a SSB signal generator configured to generate an IQ baseband signal comprising a sequence of constellation points corresponding to the SSB test signal. The constellation points are modulated onto a high frequency local oscillator signal to generate the SSB test signal, which is inserted into a reception path of a receiver at a test signal injection point. The reception path comprises a mixer configured to mix the SSB test signal with the local oscillator signal to generate a down-converted, intermediate frequency output signal. The output signal may be analyzed to determine errors in the reception path.

  • Patent number: 8854264
Abstract: Embodiments relate to two-dimensional antenna arrays. In one embodiment, an antenna array includes single-ended fed patch antennas and differentially fed patches. Field polarization of the radiated and/or received EM waves is different by 90 degrees for each different antenna type. Thus, an aligned polarization pattern can be achieved using orthogonal feeding direction for single-ended and differential patches. Embodiments can be used in radar or virtually any other 2D array antenna system.
