  • Publication number: 20240104989
Abstract: A system for monitoring an entry-restricted danger zone of an industrial plant, wherein a machine is arranged inside the entry-restricted danger zone, the system comprising: a safety control apparatus to control operation of the machine in a fail-safe manner; an entry portal to enable a person to enter and exit the danger zone; an entry control apparatus to authenticate entry of authorized persons, the entry portal being assigned to the entry control apparatus; and a login controller to log information about a current entry event of the entry-restricted danger zone and about historical entry events of the entry-restricted danger zone, wherein the safety control apparatus is configured to generate, upon request of an authenticated, entry-authorized person, a switch-off signal for a fail-safe shutdown of the machine and to prevent a restart of the machine while at least one person is still present inside the entry-restricted danger zone.

  • Patent number: 11468156
Abstract: An access control system controls access of a user to one or more operating functions of a technical installation. The access control system includes a receiving device configured to read access authorization data from a mobile data medium and an access control device configured to receive and validate the access authorization data from the receiving device. The receiving device continuously adds a dynamic portion to the access authorization data to create dynamic access authorization data and sends the dynamic access authorization data to the access control device. The access control device, in response to the dynamic access authorization data corresponding to a defined expectation, generates a release signal for those operating functions for which the access authorization data is valid.

  • Patent number: 11449273
Abstract: An apparatus for storing data in a non-volatile memory includes a data processing unit and a memory unit. The data processing unit is configured to acquire data blocks, terminate each data block of the data blocks with a terminating element, and assemble the terminated data blocks into a serial data stream. The memory unit is configured to sequentially write the serial data stream to the non-volatile memory. The terminating element is variable between a first code word and a second code word. The data processing unit is configured to switch between using the first code word and the second code word as the terminating element in response to the non-volatile memory having been written to completely by the memory unit.

  • Patent number: 9232675
Abstract: An operator cabinet has a wall having a front side, a rear side and a cutout defined by an inner edge. An operator terminal is installed in the cutout and has a frame surrounding a display for displaying at least one system state of a technical system. The outer frame edge is dimensioned so as to be larger than the inner edge of the cutout, with the result that, when installed, the frame can rest on the front side of the wall. A plate having an outer plate edge is dimensioned so as to be larger than the inner edge of the cutout with the result that, when installed, the plate can rest on the rear side of the wall. A plurality of bolts are secured at one end on the frame and extend, when installed, through the cutout and then through corresponding holes in the plate.
