  • Publication number: 20230142311
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed towards an apparatus and method for monitoring usage of applications executed within an operating system of an electronic device. The apparatus and method are implemented using a monitoring application different from the monitored applications and aims at providing not only information regarding applications usage time, but also information regarding how some of the monitored applications are used. The monitoring application utilizes a trained model to acquired information regarding the monitored applications.

  • Patent number: 11064242
Abstract: A method and device for moving an indicator on an on-screen keyboard depicted on a display device is described. A series of signals transmitted from a remote-control unit are received at the display device. The indicator on a grid depicted on the display device is moved based on the received signals. A time for moving the indicator on the grid varies based on the series of signals received from the remote-control unit.

  • Patent number: 10931995
Abstract: A solution for transferring audiovisual data between devices is provided. A device, for example a guest device, wishes to transfer audiovisual data to a device in a host local network. The guest device connects to a server in a wide area network via the host local network. The guest device selects, via its connection to the server and from a list, provided by the server, of devices in the host local network, a device present in the host local network. The guest device retrieves via the list connection parameters for transferring audiovisual data to the selected device. The guest device connects to the selected device in the host local network using the retrieved connection parameters and transfers audiovisual data to the selected device.

  • Patent number: 7876240
Abstract: A method for decoding elements is disclosed. The method decodes at least a part of the binary stream into a set of elements on the basis of first and second decoding parameters CodlOffset0 and CodIRange, the set of elements comprising a prefix composed of n first elements and a suffix comprising m second elements, the prefix and the suffix being separated by an element called a pivot. The method comprises: determining the value of n on the basis of the first and second decoding parameters and of the values of k consecutive bits of the binary stream, termed k first bits, so as to deduce therefrom the prefix and the value of m; and determining the suffix on the basis of the first and second decoding parameters and of the values of m consecutive bits which follow the n first bits of the k first bits.

  • Publication number: 20090219177
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for decoding elements coded according to an arithmetic coding method such as CABAC. The method decodes at least a part of the binary stream into a set of elements on the basis of first and second decoding parameters CodIOffset0 and CodIRange, the set of elements comprising a prefix composed of n first elements and a suffix comprising m second elements, the prefix and the suffix being separated by an element called a pivot. The method comprises the following steps: determining the value of n on the basis of the first and second decoding parameters and of the values of k consecutive bits of the binary stream, termed k first bits, so as to deduce therefrom the prefix and the value of m; and determining the suffix on the basis of the first and second decoding parameters and of the values of m consecutive bits of the binary stream which follow the n first bits of the k first bits.
