  • Publication number: 20190250454
Abstract: A flat panel display cooling apparatus includes a display panel having a first sheet of light transmissive material and an intermediate layer, together defining a first compartment holding a liquid crystal to generate an image. A cooling cell, having a second sheet of light transmissive material, extends in a flat plane parallel and spaced apart from the intermediate layer, defining a second compartment holding a cooling fluid to regulate the temperature of the liquid crystal. A second seal is disposed between the second sheet and the intermediate layer and enclosing the second compartment. Ports may extend into the second compartment, such as through the second seal, to allow the cooling fluid to be circulated out of the second compartment to carry heat away from the liquid crystal. Direct transfer of heat from the cooling cell is also provided, such as where the cooling cell extends beyond the display panel.

  • Patent number: 7453967
Abstract: A self-adaptable transmission line (SATL) according to the present invention is implemented as a single signal path coupled between an SATL transmitter and an SATL receiver. The SATL transmitter controls the process of transmission in an SATL architecture. Data to be sent by the SATL transmitter are first encoded to the appropriate symbol before being serialized and transmitted on the SATL. A symbol transfer starts with an event known as a start-of-symbol (SOS) event, which can be, for example, a low-to-high transition. The SATL receiver samples and deserializes the incoming bitstream, and then decodes the symbol thus received. Upon detection of an SOS by the SATL receiver, the SATL receiver's logic is reset to its initial state, ready to receive the next symbol.

  • Patent number: 7265627
Abstract: A radio frequency (RF) linear power amplifier having an output transistor, and including a circuit means for generating a bias signal producing a quiescent current flowing through the output transistor, a detector circuit for detecting RF input to the amplifier and generating a driving signal according to a power level of the RF input; and a self-adaptable circuit for receiving the driving signal and automatically modifying the bias signal and the quiescent current through the output transistor. The quiescent current at the output stage is reduced and optimized for minimum dissipation and optimal linearity at all power output levels. The bias circuit for the radio frequency (RF) linear power amplifier includes a self-adaptable circuit that dynamically modifies the quiescent current for an output stage amplifier by automatically tracking an RF signal input to the amplifier at power ranges above a certain power output threshold.

  • Patent number: 7162034
Abstract: Techniques for performing multistage processing with feedback include a multi-stage feedback processor comprising a first plurality of processing stages connected in series. A feedback channel connects a last stage to one of the other stages. Each processing stage is configured to process one block of data from a data stream during one processing cycle. A parallel input queue includes a second plurality of input queues connected in parallel to the first stage. The parallel input queue directs a block to the first stage alternately from each of a third plurality of data streams. In an embodiment, the number of data streams is no greater than the number of input queues. This arrangement significantly improves throughput for multistage processing with feedback. The arrangement is suitable for encryption and decryption of network traffic using block-based symmetric ciphers.
