  • Patent number: 10263693
Abstract: A deployable feed cluster architecture comprises a support and an array of radiofrequency RF sources, each RF source comprising a radiofrequency RF chain and of a radiating element, the RF chain being provided with input/output ports. The architecture comprises a deployable panel that is rotatably articulated about an axis of rotation, the array of RF sources mounted on the panel, the panel being rotatably movable between a first position in which the array of RF sources is stowed on the support and a second position in which the array of RF sources is deployed.

  • Patent number: 9859623
Abstract: A radiating feed of a structural module comprises a feed horn linked to an RF system via a bent ring to orient the feed horn in a desired direction. The bend of the bent ring has an aperture angle of value predefined individually for each horn as a function of the desired orientation, and a vertex placed in a plane of symmetry of the RF system orthogonal to the plane XY containing the RF system. The RF systems of each radiating feed can then be arranged alongside one another and be incorporated in structural planar subassemblies, reducing the number of parts needed to create the multibeam antenna.

  • Publication number: 20130071082
Abstract: The polarization maintaining optical fiber, or preform therefore, can be of the panda type with a pedestal based on a multi-component silica glass doped with a thermal-expansion-coefficient-reducing dopant which can counteracts the thermal-expansion-coefficient-increasing side-effect of the refractive index-increasing dopant, such that when the preform is drilled to make the stress member channel in a heterogeneous region having both a pedestal portion and a cladding portion, the thermal expansion coefficients are sufficiently close to manage damage which could otherwise be caused by uneven thermal expansion caused by drilling heat.

  • Patent number: 7294140
Abstract: A device for holding a trocar sleeve in its position of engagement in the body of a patient has clamping jaws which in the closed position define an opening and which can be placed about the outside of the trocar sleeve, and at least one hole via which the device can be fixed on the patient. The device is designed as a forceps with two forceps arms which at their area of intersection are connected to one another via a hinge and which at their distal ends in each case have at least one clamping jaw, a spring being arranged between the forceps arms, which spring is supported on the forceps arms via its long ends and forces the clamping jaws into the closed position.

  • Patent number: 7052502
Abstract: The invention relates to a medical instrument for creating a cavity for an endoscopic intervention in a human or animal body, comprising a hollow cylindrical encasing trocar tube which can be inserted into an artificial body opening and an expander which can be extracted from and retracted into said tube. The above-mentioned medical instrument consists of a small number of parts and is easy to handle. It is characterized in that the expander comprises a retaining element which is arranged outside the trocar tube in addition to at least two spring blades which are made of a flexible material and form an arc in the respective median sections thereof, whereby the two ends thereof are respectively fixed to the retaining element, extending through the tube of the trocar. The invention also relates to a method for the use of said medical instrument.

  • Patent number: 6206872
Abstract: An endoscopic instrument has an external tube and a hollow cylinder coaxially extending along a longitudinal axis and actuatable to move axially in opposite directions to rotate a distal end of the instrument provided with an engaging element between angular positions. The distal end actuated by the outer tube is rotatable about a pin having an axis of rotation which is spaced radially from the longitudinal axis as another pin formed on and extending radially from the cylinder is guided along an arcuate groove provided on the distal end of the instrument.
