  • Publication number: 20120054147
Abstract: There is provided a computer-executed method of generating an extract, transform, and load (ETL) workflow. The method includes receiving metadata. The metadata describes a mapping between a source and a target, wherein the source and target describe an entity. The method further includes receiving an entity selection that specifies the entity. Additionally, a workflow may be generated based on the metadata and the entity selection. Further, an ETL job may be updated to comprise the generated workflow.

  • Patent number: 7836026
Abstract: A method, apparatus or software are disclosed for verifying a parameter value against a predetermined threshold function in which a sequence of reference values is retrieved, each reference value being associated with a respective sampling point N, said reference values representing a threshold function at said respective sampling points N; a profile type is associated with said threshold function, said profile type being arranged, when combined with said sequence of reference values, to provide an approximation to said threshold function for a region of said threshold function between said reference values; a parameter value is received for verification against said threshold function, said parameter value being associated with a discrete time P; said sequence of reference values is combined with said profile type to provide an approximation of said threshold function; and said parameter value is verified against said approximation of said threshold function.

  • Publication number: 20070083650
Abstract: A method is provided of predicting a degree of service-quality compliance in an IT infrastructure. The method is carried out at a current point of time within an evaluation period before the end of the evaluation period, wherein service-quality compliance means that a service-quality parameter of the IT infrastructure complies with a service-quality objective. The method includes obtaining a statistic which indicates probabilities that the service-quality parameter will comply with the service-quality objective in sub-periods of the future part of the evaluation period. The statistic is based on known compliance frequencies in equivalent sub-periods in the past. A calculation, on the basis of the statistic, indicates an estimated duration in which the service-quality objective will be complied with during the future part of the evaluation period.

  • Publication number: 20050213509
Abstract: A Process for monitoring the quality of service of the communication over an Internet or intranet network, said process being executed in a end-user terminal and comprising the steps of: establishing a session between a first end-user terminal and a service or a second end-user terminal via a signaling plane; characterized in that it further comprises the steps of: monitoring the quality of service of the communication during said session; using said signalling plane for transmitting information representative of said quality of service during said session, whereby all parties share the same information. The process is well adapted to the known SIP protocol and allow the end-users of the network to share the same QoS information relating to the communication.
