  • Publication number: 20230349004
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for detecting the presence of a virulent strain of Venturia inaequalis in a sample. Said method is based on identifying specific markers associated with virulent strains of Venturia inaequalis. Said detection method has a plurality of advantageous applications, such as determining geographical areas where strains are virulent, enabling, in particular, evaluation of the benefit of planting an orchard in said area with varieties carrying the corresponding resistance gene, evaluation of whether fungicidal treatment in an orchard is necessary, thus avoiding systematic preventive treatment, or evaluation of the health quality of an apple plant comprising the resistance gene Rvi6.

  • Patent number: 9051864
Abstract: A system and a process for storing an additive solution and injecting it into the exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine. The system comprises at least one tank for storing the additive, one pump equipped with an inlet and an outlet and that is capable of generating a direct flow (in injection mode) or a reverse flow (in drawing off mode), at least two additive solution suction points, and an injector, wherein a first suction point is connected to the pump inlet and is only active when the pump operates in injection mode, and wherein the second suction point is connected to the pump outlet and is only active when the pump operates in drawing off mode.

  • Patent number: 7720376
Abstract: A method and system for determining camera positioning information from an accelerometer mounted on a camera. The accelerometer measures the orientation of the camera with respect to gravity. Orientation measurement allows user interface information to be displayed in a “right side up” orientation on a viewfinder for any camera orientation. Alternatively, an artificial horizon indicator may be displayed in the viewfinder. The accelerometer may also measure camera movement. Camera movement information together with camera orientation can be used to determine camera usage. Additionally, camera movement information can be used to determine a minimum shutter speed for a sharp picture.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 20, 2009
Date of Patent: May 18, 2010
    Assignee: Analog Devices, Inc.
Inventors: Harvey Weinberg, Christophe Lemaire, Howard Samuels, Michael Judy
