Patent number: 12241377Abstract: A turbomachine module with a longitudinal axis comprising an unducted propeller rotated about the longitudinal axis and at least one straightener. The module includes a plurality of unducted variable-pitch stator blades extending along a radial axis, perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, from a fixed casing. The module includes a first stator blade pitch-changing system. The pitch-changing system includes at least one first control that includes a first fixed body connected to the fixed casing and a first body which is axially mobile in relation to the first fixed body and at least one first joining mechanism joining each stator blade to the first mobile body of the first control. The first joining mechanism includes: a joining ring centered on the longitudinal axis, joined to the feet of each stator blade and at least one lever joined, on one hand, to the joining ring and, on the other hand, to the first mobile body of the first control.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2021Date of Patent: March 4, 2025Assignee: SAFRAN AIRCRAFT ENGINESInventor: Christophe Lima

Patent number: 11585237Abstract: A system for the axial retention of a holding ring for a bearing for guiding in rotation a rotary shaft of a turbomachine is disclosed. The system includes an annular bearing support and a bearing holding ring that is borne by the annular bearing support. The bearing holder ring includes an upstream ring configured to be brought into contact with the bearing support and a downstream ring that is elastically deformable. The bearing support has a first axial retention element, and the bearing holding ring has a second axial retention element. The first and second axial retention elements are configured to cooperate with one another to axially retain the bearing holding ring in the event of damage to the downstream ring.Type: GrantFiled: September 3, 2019Date of Patent: February 21, 2023Assignee: SAFRAN AIRCRAFT ENGINESInventors: Christophe Lima, Boucif Bensalah, Alain Dominique Gendraud, Alberto Martin Matos, Valentin Olivier Jean-Jacques Quesnel

Patent number: 10502081Abstract: A turbomachine bearing housing comprising a fixed wall, a rotating shaft, first and second seals between the wall and the shaft, and a chamber between the fixed wall and a stator element supplied with air via an opening close to the shaft. An air guide is arranged along the surface of the wall of the housing, outside same, such that at least a portion of the air exiting the guide passes between the first seal and the shaft, the air guide being supplied with air by an air intake separated radially from the shaft, the air from the air intake being at a higher pressure than at the shaft.Type: GrantFiled: January 15, 2015Date of Patent: December 10, 2019Assignee: SAFRAN AIRCRAFT ENGINESInventors: Jérémy Lucien Jacques Bioud, Sébastien Bourget, Gaël Evain, Eddy Stéphane Joël Fontanel, Florence Irène Noëlle Leutard, Christophe Lima, Giuliana Elisa Rossi

Publication number: 20160341059Abstract: A turbomachine bearing housing comprising a fixed wall, a rotating shaft, first and second seals between the wall and the shaft, and a chamber between the fixed wall and a stator element supplied with air via an opening close to said shaft. An air guide means is arranged along the surface of the wall of the housing, outside same, such that at least a portion of the air exiting the guide means passes between the first seal and the shaft, said guide means being supplied with air by an air intake separated radially from the shaft, the air from the air intake being at a higher pressure than at the shaft.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 15, 2015Publication date: November 24, 2016Applicant: SNECMAInventors: Jérémy Lucien Jacques Bioud, Sébastien Bourget, Gaël Evain, Eddy Stphane Joél Fontanel, Florence Irène Noëlle Leutard, Christophe Lima, Giuliana Elisa Rossi

Publication number: 20070202118Abstract: The present invention relates to methods of preventing and treating tuberculosis in a subject infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The method involves inhibiting AhpD in the subject under conditions effective to make the pathogen susceptible to antimicrobial reactive nitrogen intermediates or reactive oxygen intermediates. The present invention also relates to methods of preventing and treating tuberculosis in a subject infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis involving inhibiting dihydrolipoamide dehydrogenase or dihydrolipoamide succinyltransferase in Mycobacterium tuberculosis in the subject under conditions effective to make the pathogen susceptible to antimicrobial reactive nitrogen intermediates or reactive oxygen intermediates. Also disclosed are methods for identifying candidate compounds suitable for treatment or prevention of tuberculosis.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 2, 2007Publication date: August 30, 2007Applicant: CORNELL RESEARCH FOUNDATION, INC.Inventors: Carl NATHAN, Christopher LIMA, Ruslana BRYK

Publication number: 20050069988Abstract: A recombinant expression system for the expression of a poly amino acid, peptide or protein is provided. The poly amino acid of interest is expressed as a fusion protein that includes an amino acid sequence recognized and cleaved by a Ulp1 protease. The amino acid sequence joined to the poly amino acid of interest is preferably from a SUMO (small ubiquitin-like molecule) protein. This sequence imparts favorable solubility and refolding properties to the fusion protein. A purification tag may also be incorporated into the fusion protein for ease of isolation. The Ulp1 protease used to cleave the fusion protein may be the Ulp1 protease or the active Ulp1 protease fragment, Ulp1(403-621). The Ulp1 protease rapidly and specifically cleaves the fusion proteins of the invention at the Ulp1 cleavage site. The amino acid sequence recognized by a Ulp1 protease is cleaved asymetrically to leave only an N-terminal serine joined to the poly amino acid of interest.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 24, 2004Publication date: March 31, 2005Inventors: Christopher Lima, Elena Mossessova
