  • Patent number: 11973866
Abstract: A cryptographic processing method comprises the following steps: obtaining a second number determined by adding to a first number the order of a finite group or a multiple of this order; determining a quotient and a remainder by dividing the second number by a random number; obtaining a third element equal to the combination of elements equal to a first element of the finite group and in number equal to the product of the quotient and the random number; obtaining a fourth element equal to the combination of elements equal to the first element and in number equal to the remainder; determining a second element by combining the third element and the fourth element.

  • Patent number: 8463079
Abstract: A system and method are described for determining the dimensions of items using an optical device, such as a barcode and/or RFID tag reader, for example. The dimensions of the field of view of the optical device are established, indexed by distance, and the dimensions of items in the field of view of the optical device are determined as a percentage of the full field of view of the optical device at the appropriate distance.

  • Patent number: 7967206
Abstract: An automatic data collection device is provided for reading barcodes, matrix codes, stacked codes, or other machine-readable symbol. The data collection device generates an aiming beam that serves a dual purpose of target locating and data acquisition, such as data acquisition using imaging methods. The aiming beam defines the field of view of the data collection device for imaging. The illumination pattern provided by the aiming beam for imaging can have its shape, size, and/or intensity adaptively changed depending on conditions.

  • Publication number: 20070051812
Abstract: A machine-readable symbol reader is operable to read one and two-dimensional machine-readable symbols such as barcode or matrix code symbols. The reader includes an imaging subsystem and a scanning subsystem. The reader initially attempts to acquire a symbol operating as a conventional imager. If unsuccessful, the reader then attempts to acquire a symbol operating as operating as a conventional scanner. If unsuccessful, the reader then employs an image sensor array of the imaging subsystem along with a scanning beam produced by the scanning subsystem, operating as a neither a conventional imager nor a conventional scanner.

  • Patent number: 6550889
Abstract: Process and device for cleaning the nozzles of ink jet printers, and the print head incorporating such a device. A fixed cleaning jet (22) is installed on the print head, downstream of the ink nozzle to be cleaned (18) and offset to one side of it. When the ink jet stops, a given volume of solvent is sprayed by this cleaning jet, which hits the nozzle (18) at an angle. In this way the front face of the droplet generator is cleaned and scoured, and the ink residues are ejected towards the opposite side of the housing (36). Dry compressed air is then blown through the cleaning jet towards the ink nozzle (18) to dry the front of the nozzle and the ink residues deposited on the side of the housing (36).
