  • Patent number: 8762040
Abstract: A method and device to help an aircraft change altitude in case of reduced separations is disclosed. The device, embarked on board the airplane, comprises means for determining a performing time range during which the altitude change maneuver within reduced spacings being desired by the pilots is able to be performed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 5, 2010
Date of Patent: June 24, 2014
    Assignee: Airbus Operations (SAS)
Inventors: Pierre Depape, Christophe Maily, Jerome Gouillou, Julien Frard, Yohann Barbe
  • Patent number: 8135502
Abstract: A method and device are provided for automatically adjusting an image of an aircraft navigation screen. The device includes a determining unit for automatically determining, if necessary, a new display configuration making it possible to present on a navigation screen a detected dangerous event, and a display unit for automatically effecting a change of display of the navigation screen by applying this new display configuration.

  • Publication number: 20100114491
Abstract: An aircraft is equipped with a traffic alert and collision avoidance system. This system includes an interrogating function to interrogate a transponder on-board another aircraft. The interrogating function is activated when the aircraft is on the ground and is located below a distance threshold in relation to a take-off/landing runway. The interrogating function is deactivated when the aircraft is on the ground and one of the two following conditions is met: (i) there is no take-off/landing runway with respect to which the aircraft is located below a distance threshold greater than the distance threshold first mentioned, and (ii) after a wait time following activation, there is no take-off/landing runway with respect to which the aircraft is located below a distance threshold at least equal to the distance threshold first mentioned.
