  • Patent number: 8527189
Abstract: The present invention relates particularly to a method for detecting electric power blips during transmission of an electric signal representative of a magnitude detected by a sensor (1) to an electronic control unit associated with a motor, characterized in that it includes the steps of: a) measuring said electric signal known as “raw signal” (SBTE); b) proceeding with the filtering of said raw signal to obtain a “filtered signal” (STFE); c) calculating for a constant time pitch, |raw signal?filtered signal|, that is, the absolute value of the difference between the raw signal and the filtered signal; d) comparing said absolute value to a predetermined threshold of maximum variation (SVM); e) when said absolute value is greater than said predetermined threshold of maximum variation, declaring a state of power blip; f) otherwise, repeating the preceding steps.

  • Patent number: 8201524
Abstract: A device for controlling opening of a cooling circuit control valve system of an internal combustion engine, containing a coolant, which is automatically opened under effect of a cooling liquid being heated to a standard temperature. The control performs an early controlled opening of the control valve system of a cooling circuit located upstream of a heat exchanger before the temperature of the cooling liquid reaches a set temperature value for activating the opening of the control valve system, which is itself lower than the standard temperature, the controlled opening being performed only when the control valve system is first opened.

  • Patent number: 7715993
Abstract: A method for estimating pump torque of a computer-controlled fuel injection heat engine for a motor vehicle. The method determines the pumping torque in a for of a relative pumping torque representative for total pumping torque contribution of an intake and exhaust valve system, wherein the relative pumping torque is determined by a relation factoring in engine cubic capacity, a pressure difference, an exhaust pressure differential estimation due to the presence of the exhaust valves, and an intake pressure differential estimation due to the presence of the intake valves.

  • Publication number: 20090126656
Abstract: A method and device for regulating engine temperature. The device includes a valve control system arranged on a pipe of a cooling circuit of an internal combustion engine connecting the engine to a radiator. The pipe includes a temperature sensor arranged at the engine output and upstream of the valve control system that is automatically opened under effect of a cooling liquid being heated to a set temperature in accordance with a predetermined setpoint profile, ranging between a minimum stored temperature setpoint and a maximum stored temperature setpoint, so that the temperature of the engine gradually reaches the minimum or maximum setpoint by maintaining the control valve system more or less wide open. A controller controls the initial opening of the control valve system enabling the opening of the control valve system to be controlled when the control valve system has already been initially opened.
