  • Patent number: 7602738
Abstract: A MANET multicast proactive routing protocol ad hoc network is designed to implement a process dedicated to the generating and updating of a “child/parent” hierarchical tree. This process consists, if a “child” router (RR1) belonging to the network wishes to join a hierarchical tree associated with a source router (SR), of associating this child router (RR1) with a neighboring “parent” router (R1NA) through the transmitting of a join message designating the source router (SR), in unicast mode, to the neighboring parent router (R1NA).

  • Publication number: 20080059652
Abstract: The invention relates to network equipment (R2) comprising: means for communicating with neighbouring devices which are connected by means of communication networks; and routing means for transmitting routing information to said neighbouring devices (R1, R3), said information containing the address that is associated with each of the communication networks (n1, n2). The equipment is characterized in that the routing means can add an indicator to the routing information, which indicates the presence of a server (S1, S2) that is connected to one of the communication networks and which is associated with the address of the communication network.

  • Publication number: 20070036110
Abstract: Access equipment (EA) to a communication network (N), equipped with a radio-communication interface (IR) capable of transmitting packets to mobile hosts (H1, H2, H3) located in a geographical zone (Z) linked to the interface, negotiation means intended to set up an exchange of data packets with a host of this zone, requesting access to the network, and transmission means to allow a data flow between one or multiple remote equipments (ED) situated in the communication network and the hosts recorded on the list of authorized mobile hosts, wherein the transmission means do not transmit any data packets to or from hosts not recorded on the list. This equipment is characterized by the fact that the negotiation means comprise control means intended to authenticate the host on the basis of the exchange of data packets and to modify the list in function of this authentication.

  • Publication number: 20050259588
Abstract: An ad hoc communications network with MANET type routing protocol is arranged to implement a method dedicated to predicting the interruption of a link between routers (R1, R2) of an ad hoc communications network with a MANET type routing protocol. The method consists, in each router (R1, R2) of the network, in measuring the intensity levels of signals coming from at least of the neighboring routers thereof, and in comparing each measured intensity with a selected threshold. Thus, when a router (R1) detects that the measured intensities of signals coming from a link with a neighboring router (R2) is below the threshold, it considers that the link has been interrupted and it sends a message to at least one of its neighboring routers for the purpose of mitigating the consequences of this link being interrupted.

  • Publication number: 20050254473
Abstract: The invention concerns a mobile device comprising communication means for transmitting data packets to other mobile devices within a first cluster within a mobile communication network, which also includes: Detection means (DM) for detecting a new mobile device belonging to a second cluster, Election means (EM) for determining whether this new device should or should not be added to the membership of an inter-cluster subnetwork, Second routing means (RM2) for transmitting routing information between the devices that are members of the inter-cluster subnetwork, Communication means (CM) for exchanging routing information between the first and second routing means.
