  • Publication number: 20250084720
Abstract: There is disclosed a method for treating an isolated hydrocarbon interval feedable through a production tubing inside a well bore and forming an annulus therebetween. A perforated cylindrical tool having an expandable annular seal may attach to the production tubing and house a slidable element positionally responsive to an injection velocity of a well fluid. The tool may be lowered to a sealing depth for bracketing the hydrocarbon interval. Injection of the well fluid may drag a narrowing bore of the slidable element downward for expanding the annular seal against the well bore. The well fluid may also be directed from the element bore to the annulus by aligning an element flow port with a corresponding tool passage, a downstream or an upstream flow being selectable by an injection velocity for slidably aligning the corresponding flow ports having different axial locations.

  • Publication number: 20250086075
Abstract: Techniques are provided for failing over an aggregate from one file system instance to a different file system instance of a distributed scale-out storage system. The aggregate may be stored within distributed storage that is accessible to a plurality of file system instances of the distributed scale-out storage system. When the aggregate is failed over from a first file system instance to a second file system instance, the first file system instance may still have a valid read lease that allows the first file system instance to serve client I/O, directed to the aggregate, using a cache. In order to prevent the first file system instance from serving stale data from the cache before the read lease expires, state machines and a set of control data are used to ensure that the second file system instance attaches to the aggregate only after the read lease has expired.

  • Patent number: 12217237
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to method for facilitating a transaction between a service provider and a customer using an online payment platform. The method includes receiving a request from a customer's device to enter into a transaction with a service provider and receiving a request from a service provider's device to process a cardless payment transaction for the transaction. The method further includes determining a tipping process to be applied to the transaction whereby an automatically determined tip amount or a manually determined tip amount is added to the transaction. The processing of the transaction is delayed until the automatically determined or the manual tip amount is added to the transaction. The cardless payment including the tip amount is then processed and a confirmation thereof is communicated to the respective devices of the customer and the service provider.

  • Publication number: 20240314925
Abstract: Power dividers (or splitters) and power combiners may be implemented using distributed lossy transmission lines that dissipate radio frequency (RF) and other electromagnetic (EM) signal energy. By taking advantage of natural PCB board loss at high operating frequencies, N-way power dividers with matched outputs and good isolation may be implemented without the use of discrete resistors. In one embodiment, a N-way power divider may be at least partially implemented on buried printed circuit board (PCB) layers (e.g., partially embedded) and, in a further embodiment a N-way may be implemented in a manner that is completely internal to the PCB (e.g., completely embedded), without the use of discrete resistors.
