  • Publication number: 20260131135
Abstract: A power lead is provided that includes an elongate body, a feedthrough body, and a housing enclosing the feedthrough body. The elongate body has a proximal end and a distal end and is configured to connect to a therapy device adjacent to the distal end and to a controller adjacent to the proximal end. The elongate body has a plurality of lumens, each one of which houses a length of a conductor of a plurality of conductors. The feedthrough body has a plurality of channels to support a connector pin electrically connected to a conductor of the plurality of conductors. A distal portion of the connector pin is disposed in a recess extending between an opening of the housing and a distal end of the feedthrough body.

  • Publication number: 20260131132
Abstract: A medical device (e.g., blood flow assist system) can comprise: a shroud configured to house an impeller (or other movable device, whether imparting rotary or translational/linear movement) along a longitudinal axis of a device (such as a pump); a distal bearing comprising a peripheral ring having a first locating feature on a distal portion of an outer surface; and a strut module comprising a proximal ring having an inner surface and a plurality of struts extending distally from the proximal ring, the strut module comprising a second locating feature. The outer surface of the distal bearing can be configured to be slidably received within the proximal ring to engage the second locating feature with the first locating feature.

  • Publication number: 20250360303
Abstract: A medical system can include: a pump disposed along a longitudinal axis of the blood flow assist system and comprising an impeller disposed in a pump housing; a power lead coupled with a first end portion of the pump; and a tether coupled with a second end portion of the pump opposite to the first end portion. During operation of the blood flow assist system with the pump disposed within a blood vessel, the power lead can be configured to extend from within the blood vessel within which the pump is disposed to outside a first vascular access site to couple to a control system and the tether can be configured to extend from within the blood vessel within which the pump is disposed to an anchoring location disposed away from the second end portion.

  • Publication number: 20240416109
Abstract: An improved system for supporting (e.g., localization and/or positioning of) intravascular devices discussed herein provides for example a multi-element arrangement. A set of struts optionally projects from the intravascular device and contacts the vessel walls. The localization and positioning of the pump may be provided by the struts and/or by use of a tether opposing a propulsive force to ensure localization.

  • Patent number: 12161854
Abstract: A blood flow assist system can include an impeller assembly including an impeller shaft and an impeller on the impeller shaft, a primary flow pathway disposed along an exterior surface of the impeller. The system can include a rotor assembly at a proximal portion of the impeller shaft. A secondary flow pathway can be disposed along a lumen of the impeller shaft. During operation of the blood flow assist system, blood can be pumped proximally along the primary flow pathway and the secondary flow pathway. The system can include a sleeve bearing distal the impeller. The system can include a drive unit having a distal end disposed distal a proximal end of the second impeller. The drive unit comprising a drive magnet and a drive bearing between the drive magnet and the impeller assembly.
