Abstract: Personally-identifying, protected health information (“PHI”) is stored in encrypted form in protected data records, and hash values derived from the PHI are stored in associated search records. A healthcare marketer may identify market segments of individuals by querying the search records using hashed query predicates, identifying protected data records based on the search record results, and providing anonymized data-record results to the healthcare marketer. Once a market segment has been anonymously identified, the marketer may cause personalized marketing messages to be generated for individuals in the market-segment without the marketer having been exposed to PHI associated with those individuals.

The merging process may include a fuzzy de-duplication operation utilizing a configurable field scoring table for automatically identifying matching and non-matching records. Potential duplicates that cannot be automatically resolved may be provided to an operator to provide merge or no-merge instructions.

Abstract: An electronic signature capture system and process meets the legal requirements of a valid electronic signature while also providing electronically signed documents that have the appearance, and thus equivalent acceptability, of a traditional pen-and-ink signature. The documents can be signed using a mouse, a stylus, a touch screen, a graphics tablet, or other suitable input device to draw a signature analogue on the screen similar to signing a paper document with a pen. A fingerprint image, retinal scan image, or other similar biometric input may be captured in addition to or instead of a signature. The signature analogue is saved and linked to a particular user and to particular documents. The signature analogue may be combined with the document in a composite image file, or the signature analogue may be applied dynamically to appropriate document components to assemble an executed document as needed.

Abstract: Enhanced methods, systems, and techniques for social discovery are provided. Example embodiments provide a Social Discovery System (“SDS”), which enables users to contribute, share, manipulate, and otherwise engage in the creation and management of social knowledge and information. In one example embodiment, the SDS comprises a dot creation API, a dot system component, a dot user component, a permissions engine, a dot retrieval API, and a display engine.
