  • Patent number: 11917351
Abstract: An audio device with a body configured to be worn on or abutting an outer ear of a user, wherein the body is configured to contact at least one of the outer ear and the portion of the head that abuts the outer ear, at two separate spaced contact locations, and wherein the body is compliant at a body portion that defines one of the contact locations. The device also has an acoustic module carried by the body and configured to locate a sound-emitting opening anteriorly of and proximate the user's ear canal opening when the body is worn on or abutting the ear of the user.

  • Patent number: 10476313
Abstract: A wireless power transfer system includes a transmitter with a transmitting coil, a first detection coil, and a second detection coil. The transmitting coil receives and wirelessly radiates power from a power supply to a receiver of a vehicle. In response to the radiated power from the transmitting coil, the first detection coil generates a first voltage, and the second detection coil generates a second voltage. A comparison system is electrically coupled to the transmitter. The comparison system declares presence of a foreign object in proximity to the transmitter in response to a difference between the first voltage and a first reference voltage exceeding a threshold value. The comparison system declares the presence of the foreign object in response to a difference between the second voltage and a second reference voltage exceeding the threshold value. The transmitter is selectively disabled in response to presence of the foreign object being declared.

  • Patent number: 10112496
Abstract: A wireless power transfer system for charging a battery positioned in a vehicle may include a primary side network, a secondary side network, detection coils, and a charge monitor controller. The secondary side network may be configured to receive power from the primary side network by way of inductively coupling between a transmitting coil of the primary side network and a receiving coil of the secondary side network. The detection coils may be coupled to magnetic cores provided with at least one of the primary side network or the secondary side network. The detection coils may output at least one voltage signal based on the inductively coupling between the transmitting coil and the receiving coil. The charge monitor controller may determine a system diagnosis status based on the at least one voltage signal from the detection coils.

  • Patent number: 7860119
Abstract: SONET/SDH ring aggregation with distributed traffic. The system may include a packet-switched fabric adapted to switch TDM and PDU over the same fabric. The system provides logical functionality of one or more of SONET/SDH ADMs, fiber patch panels, coax patch panels, DCSs, and packet switches. Integrated management provides management of remote ADMs attached to multiple SONET/SDH rings, even of ADMs manufactured by different vendors. A management system may provide native termination of OSI over DCC and IP over DCC to provide integration of equipment from various vendors.

  • Patent number: 6342188
Abstract: A cleaning apparatus for a radiation source assembly in a fluid treatment system is described. The cleaning system comprises: a cleaning sleeve comprising a cleaning ring for engagement with a portion of the exterior of the radiation source assembly; a slidable member magnetically coupled to the cleaning sleeve, the slidable member being disposed on and slidable with respect to a rodless cylinder; and motive means to translate the slidable member along the rodless cylinder whereby the cleaning sleeve is translated over the exterior of the radiation source assembly. A radiation source module comprising the cleaning apparatus is also disclosed. The radiation source module is particularly useful for ultraviolet radiation of wastewater while having the advantages of in situ cleaning of the radiation source as when it becomes fouled.

  • Patent number: 6131934
Abstract: A suspension system for mounting a rear wheel on a rigid bicycle frame comprises a rear swing arm assembly pivotally mounted on the main frame member, and a shock absorbing arm assembly having a first end pivotally mounted on the rear swing arm assembly and a second end pivotally mounted on the main frame member. The shock absorbing arm assembly includes a first spring and damper assembly presenting a first spring resistance, and a second spring and damper assembly presenting a second spring resistance having a substantially different magnitude than the first spring resistance. The first and second spring and damper assemblies are mounted in seriatim in the shock absorbing arm assembly in force transmitting relation between the first and second ends of the shock absorbing arm assembly.
