  • Patent number: 11883828
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the treatment of streams derived from construction and/or demolition (C&D) debris, such as C&D fines streams, asphalt shingles, drywall, or wood. The process can include a kinetic pulverization stage through a kinetic pulverizer where the frangible materials are size-reduced and the ductile materials are liberated and remain as an oversized fraction. The feedstock can include infrangible materials that also remains as an oversized fraction. The pulverized material is then subjected to a separation stage, which may include mechanical and/or magnetic screening, to separate the oversized material comprising the ductile material, and optionally larger particles of the infrangible material, from the size-reduced material comprising the frangible material, and optionally small particles of infrangible material.

  • Publication number: 20230265908
Abstract: A vibration damper with at least two absorbers, each having at least one spoke spring, enables efficient damping of the frequency response of a crankshaft. The absorbers preferably have different natural frequencies that are adapted to the frequency response of the crankshaft. The absorbers exhibit a frequency response, which is not or only insignificantly dependent on aging of the spoke springs and on the ambient temperature. The corresponding vibration dampers can be easily designed and mounted.

  • Publication number: 20210273986
Abstract: A client configured to retrieve a live-stream media content is shown. The client is configured to receive from a live-streaming server a media presentation description (MPD) describing live-stream media content composed of a sequence of segments and an information on a current segment of the sequence of segments. • Patent number: 11089347
Abstract: A streaming media playback device is provided for playing multimedia presentations with segments encoding video data at different quality levels for adaptive streaming through a network from a server, for example based on MPEG DASH. The streaming media playback device selects segments at a given quality level from those available at the server based on an adaptive bitrate setting and an oscillation measure. The adaptive bitrate setting is selected based on network bandwidth conditions. The oscillation measure provides an indication of how often the device switches between segments of different quality levels. The next segment is selected based on the adaptive bitrate setting unless the oscillation measure exceeds a threshold.

  • Publication number: 20210075843
Abstract: A video streaming system optimizes the buffering of periods of frames of a video presentation in order to achieve a more constant perceptual quality throughout the entire video presentation. An adaption algorithm determines transmission bitrates to transmit some periods at a lower bitrate that the channel conditions of the channel may allow while transmitting other periods at a higher bitrate. The transmission bitrates are determined based on expected quality metadata signaled in the periods of the bitstream for the current period and following periods in order to optimize the bitrate and the expected perceptual quality of each version of each period over time.

  • Patent number: 10668410
Abstract: A fuel filter has a filter housing and a fuel filter insert exchangeably arranged in the filter housing and provided with a prefilter element and a main filter element. Prefilter element and main filter element are positioned one behind the other in the filter housing in axial direction of the filter housing. A fuel discharge channel is arranged in the filter housing below the fuel filter insert. In operating position of the fuel filter insert in the filter housing, the raw sides of prefilter element and of main filter element are sealed relative to the fuel discharge channel by seal-tight contact of the fuel filter insert on the filter housing. The raw side of the main filter element, when the fuel filter insert is moved by axial movement away from the operating position, is fluidically connected with the fuel discharge channel via the raw side of the prefilter element.
