  • Patent number: 9909277
Abstract: Disclosed herein are in situ waste remediation methods and systems configured to hydraulically isolate waste material from groundwater. Methods for enclosing and/or remediating waste impoundments, landfills and the like using discrete in situ solidification/stabilization techniques are provided. The disclosed methods and systems provide containment techniques to create a vertical barrier to further isolate waste from groundwater and enhance geotechnical stability by increasing embankment strength, reducing saturated conditions and increasing the overall factor of safety for slope failure.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 11, 2016
Date of Patent: March 6, 2018
Assignees: SILAR SERVICES INC., NATURAL RESOURCE TECHNOLOGY, INC.
Inventors: James Tim Silar, Glenn R. Luke, Christopher A. Robb, Roy E. Wittenberg

  • Publication number: 20140067500
Abstract: A system and method is provided that enables users to selectively predict one or more outcomes expected to occur during an upcoming event, such as a sporting event. A graphical user interface enables users to specify data for individual outcomes predicted to occur during the event. Rewards and/or an amount of the rewards are determined for predictions based on a comparison of actual outcomes with the predicted outcomes and/or one or more business rules. Users obtain rewards for accurate outcome predictions in near-real time during live events and can view reward amounts and/or actual game statistics during the live event.

  • Publication number: 20130238459
Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically providing event tickets are provided herein. For example, a device, such as a processor, may execute an automatic ticketing application that associates and/or otherwise provides one or more tickets for an event to a validated membership account. Data associated with a particular membership account and a particular ticketed event is acquired, stored, and/or processed. Subsequently, one or more tickets for the particular ticketed event are automatically associated with a membership account.

  • Patent number: 5895756
Abstract: The present invention provides a Mycobacterium-E. coli shuttle vector containing sequences coding for a tribrid fusion containing the M. leprae 18kDa antigen sequence, a phoA protein antigen sequence and a non-mycobacterial, non-E.coli heterologous protein antigen sequence. Also provided is a method of producing protective immunity in an animal or human host in need of such treatment, comprising the step of administering to said animal or human host an effective dose of recombinant mycobacteria carrying the vector of the present invention.
