  • Publication number: 20190113300
Abstract: A composite string such as a bowstring or cable used in archery bows and crossbows includes multiple types of strands or multiple types of materials in its strands. The different materials or strands have different properties such as stiffness, strength, abrasion resistance, or density. The string therefore has specialized properties such as different properties when subjected to different tensile loads or optimized durability. A serving material is also used to bind strands of material to the string for silencing, vibration dampening, improving durability, or providing additional rigidity to select portions of the string.

  • Patent number: 9380343
Abstract: A device receives, from a media client, information associated with an event. The device identifies a user profile, associated with the event, including a tracking list which identifies one or more tracked series and a last watched list which identifies one or more last watched episodes associated with one or more watched series. The device determines a next available episode, associated with one of the one or more tracked series, based on the user profile, the information received from the media client, and content metadata which includes information associated with one or more available episodes associated with one or more available series. The device sends a suggestion identifying the next available episode to the media client for presentation to a user associated with the media client.

  • Patent number: 9330394
Abstract: Computing apparatus, computer-readable storage medium, and method associated with application of content rules to content. The computing apparatus may have a processor and a content management service to be operated on the processor. The content management service may receive content rules, each content rule specifying one or more criteria for application of the content rule to one or more instances of content. The content management service may identify one or more instances of content that match the criteria specified by the content rules. The content management service may apply one or more of the content rules to the identified one or more instances of content in a hierarchical manner based on a specificity of the criteria, wherein a rule specifying more specific criteria is applied with priority over a rule specifying less specific criteria. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

  • Patent number: 9308569
Abstract: A device for crimping an expandable medical device and loading the expandable medical device into a delivery system includes an actuator, a compression assembly, and a pusher. The compression assembly is disposed in a compression chamber of the actuator and includes a plurality of compression elements coupled to each other to form a central cavity. The compression elements are coupled to the actuator such that rotation of the actuator causes the compression elements to rotate such that the central cavity radially compresses from an expanded configuration to a compressed configuration. The pusher includes a pusher rod and is configured to translate relative to the actuator towards the compression chamber when the cavity is in the compressed configuration such that the pusher rod may enter the cavity and push the medical device out of the cavity into delivery system.
