Patent number: 12266938Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamic management of energy usage in local grids are provided. An example method is performed by a load distribution controller coupled to a power source and an energy storage device configured to accumulate power. The method includes acquiring reference levels of using energy of the power source at time slots within a time period and cost values corresponding to the reference levels, dynamically determining, based on the reference levels and the cost values, a schedule indicating charge levels of the energy storage device at the time slots within the time period, and configuring the energy storage device to charge or discharge the power the power according to the schedule. The reference levels are obtained using the Viterbi algorithm based on costs of the energy of power source at past times slots of a past time period and rates of charging and discharging the energy storage device.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 2021Date of Patent: April 1, 2025Assignee: Rainforest Automation, Inc.Inventors: Richard Thomas Jones, Christopher Stanley James Tumpach, Md. Patent number: 12265221Abstract: Head-mounted augmented reality (AR) devices can track pose of a wearer's head to provide a three-dimensional virtual representation of objects in the wearer's environment. An electromagnetic (EM) tracking system can track head or body pose. A handheld user input device can include an EM emitter that generates an EM field, and the head-mounted AR device can include an EM sensor that senses the EM field. EM information from the sensor can be analyzed to determine location and/or orientation of the sensor and thereby the wearer's pose. The EM emitter and sensor may utilize time division multiplexing (TDM) or dynamic frequency tuning to operate at multiple frequencies. Voltage gain control may be implemented in the transmitter, rather than the sensor, allowing smaller and lighter weight sensor designs. The EM sensor can implement noise cancellation to reduce the level of EM interference generated by nearby audio speakers.Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 2022Date of Patent: April 1, 2025Assignee: MAGIC LEAP, INC.Inventors: Brian Bucknor, Christopher Lopez, Michael Janusz Woods, Aly H. Patent number: 12267428Abstract: A mobile device performs authentication with blinded tokens and swaps its international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) value. For authentication with blinded tokens, the mobile device generates a blinded token and provides it to a server to encrypt. To redeem the token, the mobile device unblinds the encrypted blinded token and provides it to the server along with a public key. To complete authentication, the mobile device receives, from the server, a nonce encrypted with the public key and decrypts the nonce with a private key. For swapping its IMSI value, the mobile device retrieves two eSIM profiles with corresponding IMSI values and configures the first of the two profiles as active. In response to a trigger, the mobile device changes the active profile from the first to the second, swaps the first IMSI value with a new IMSI value, and changes the active profile back to the first profile.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2023Date of Patent: April 1, 2025Assignee: Private Tech Inc.Inventors: Stephen James Dowhy, Christopher William Stokes, David Seth Dunn, Nicholas John Espinoza, Clifford Marcus Owenby, John McKinstry Doyle

Patent number: 12263643Abstract: A method includes flowing gas within a chamber for first process parameters at a predetermined point in a laser focal plane and simulating the step of flowing gas within the chamber based on the value of the flow characteristic of the gas at the predetermined point in the laser focal plane so that a value of a simulated-flow characteristic of the gas at a predetermined point away from the laser focal plane is identified. The method comprises comparing the value of the simulated-flow characteristic of gas at the predetermined point away from the laser focal plane to a desired value of the simulated-flow characteristic and flowing gas within the chamber for second differing process parameters, when the value of the simulated-flow characteristic of the gas at the predetermined point away from the laser focal plane differs from the desired value of the simulated-flow characteristic is outside a predetermined range.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 2023Date of Patent: April 1, 2025Assignee: The Boeing CompanyInventors: Eric M. Publication number: 20250099304Abstract: The present disclosure relates to bonding a first substrate together a second substrate with adhesives that are substantially tackifier free. A layer of substantially tackifier free adhesive may be applied to a first surface of the second substrate to define an adherence zone, and the first substrate is positioned on the adherence zone of the second substrate to form a laminate. The first and second substrates are pressed against each other in the adherence zone to force the substantially tackifier free adhesive to penetrate into the first and second substrates. A first portion of the layer of the adhesive penetrates into the first substrate and a second portion of the layer of the adhesive penetrates into the second substrate. A central portion of the layer of the adhesive between the first and second portions separates the second surface of the first substrate from the first surface of the second substrate.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 17, 2024Publication date: March 27, 2025Inventors: Michael Devin LONG, Jose Luis SANTILLAN, Christopher KRASEN, Mark Thomas STILLWAGON, John Andrew STRASEMEIER, Ray Dennis DRIA, Robert Haines TURNER, Fredrick William GIBSON, Joseph Leslie GROLMES, Koichi MORIMOTO, Uwe SCHNEIDER

Publication number: 20250103950Abstract: A method for time-series forecasting for time-series data with a periodic behavior larger than a respective sampling rate is disclosed. The method includes selecting candidate time lag values from measured time-series data, determining first training data based on time-series data and the candidate time lag values, and training of a first machine-learning system, thereby determining a subset of the set of the first training data. The method further includes building second training data, training of a second machine-learning system for time-series predictions when using measured sampled time-series data as input. A first performance indicator value is indicative of a prediction performance of the first time-series machine-learning model. The method further includes determining that an element of the set of second training data is significant for the training of the first time-series machine-learning model and determining that the set of second training data is complete.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 25, 2023Publication date: March 27, 2025Inventors: Christopher William Watson, Andrés García Saravia Ortiz de Montellano, Dieter Wellerdiek, Jakob Christopher Lang, Giao Nguyen-Quynh
