Abstract: A message suggestion service may use clusters of pre-approved messages to improve the quality of messages suggested to users. During a conversation, messages of the conversation may be processed with a neural network to compute a conversation encoding vector. The neural network may also be used to compute pre-approved message encoding vectors of the pre-approved messages. Distances between the conversation encoding vector and the pre-approved message encoding vectors may be used to select one or more clusters. Distances between the conversation encoding vector and the pre-approved message encoding vectors may then be used to select one or more pre-approved messages from the selected clusters. The selected pre-approved messages may then be presented as suggested messages to a user.

Abstract: A playlist engine is provided that selects content items for a partial playlist. The content items may include audio content items (i.e., tracks or songs). In one implementation, a user provides a request to expand a partial playlist. The request may include the partial playlist and an indication of the number of additional content items that the user would like to add to the partial playlist. The playlist engine may select one or more attributes from the content items in the partial playlist, and may use the selected one or more attributes to determine additional content items that are relevant to the selected one or more attributes. The playlist engine may add the additional content items to the partial playlist.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed herein for managing the transfer of digital media that is recorded on a source device (e.g., personal video recorder) to a target device (e.g., portable media player). In one aspect, a user interface is provided for scheduling recording of digital media content on a source device and for inputting user preferences for transferring digital media content to be recorded on the source device to a target device. A user request is received in the user interface to schedule recording of digital media on the source device. User preferences for transferring digital media from the source device to the target device are also received in the user interface. The digital media is recorded on the source device per the user's request. Synchronization of the recorded digital media from the source device to the target device is managed based on the user preferences.
