  • Publication number: 20230049149
Abstract: A control circuit provides a user with an opportunity to create a custom virtual three-dimensional kitchen component selected from a categorical list of available customizable kitchen components. Upon detecting the user's assertion of the opportunity, the control circuit automatically provides the user with an interactive form that includes a plurality of selectable features for the selected customizable kitchen component. Upon receiving user entries regarding the plurality of selectable features, the control circuit automatically defines a customized virtual three-dimensional kitchen component that comports with the user entries.

  • Publication number: 20220253403
Abstract: A control circuit accesses a memory having stored therein data for a three-dimensional model in a first file format (such as, for example, an OBJ file format). The control circuit correlates components of the three-dimensional model in the first file format to corresponding codes, and then expresses the three-dimensional model as data for the three-dimensional model in a second file format (such as, for example, an RVT file format) that is different from the first file format as a function of the aforementioned corresponding codes.

  • Publication number: 20190354640
Abstract: These various embodiments pertain to constructing a kitchen in accordance with a final layout design for the kitchen. By one approach this includes using a control circuit to provide a user with an opportunity to automatically construct a narrative that recounts design changes between a first layout design for the kitchen and a second layout design for the kitchen. Upon detecting the user's assertion of that opportunity, the control circuit automatically constructs that narrative and outputs that determined narrative to the user. Upon ultimately outputting a final layout design for the kitchen, these teachings contemplate actually and physically using that final layout design for the kitchen to physically construct the kitchen. By one approach the aforementioned narrative comprises a text-based narrative.
