  • Publication number: 20220211961
Abstract: A paediatric tracheostomy tube (1) has a protector (50) covering the cuff inflation indicator (37) to prevent damage to the inflation indicator caused by the patient chewing or biting it. The protector is in two parts: a base (52) extending around the open machine end (40) of the indicator and through which the inflation valve can be accessed, and a transparent sleeve (60) extending around the inflation balloon (38) and through which the balloon is visible. The sleeve has a small opening (65) at its patient end opening to a longitudinal slot (66) along one side so that the sleeve can be assembled on the inflation line (31) by threading the inflation line sideway through the slot.

  • Publication number: 20220193327
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments relate to devices and systems for providing both negative-pressure therapy and instillation, In some embodiments, both negative-pressure and instillation may be provided to a tissue site in a low-profile context that may also prevent siphoning of instillation fluid during negative pressure application. For example, a single bridge may include a negative-pressure pathway with supports and an instillation pathway, and the instillation pathway may be configured with respect to the negative-pressure pathway so that at least a portion of the instillation pathway collapses upon application of negative pressure to the negative-pressure pathway. Collapse of at least a portion of the instillation pathway may be sufficient to close the instillation pathway.

  • Publication number: 20220179449
Abstract: A training apparatus has an input device and a wearable computing device with a bio-signal sensor and a display to provide an interactive virtual reality (“VR”) environment for a user. The bio-signal sensor receives bio-signal data from the user. The user interacts with content that is presented in the VR environment. The user interactions and bio-signal data are scored with a user state score and a performance scored. Feedback is given to the user based on the scores in furtherance of training. The feedback may update the VR environment and may trigger additional VR events to continue training.

  • Patent number: 11354491
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for improving data modeling and translating. The system receives network-related data from external systems, wherein the data is formatted in various modeling languages corresponding to the system or network components from which it is transmitted. The system parses and extracts the network-related data for identifying parameters within the data, wherein the parameters correspond to the system or network component's operational status. The system translates the extracted data to a human-readable format for displaying the data to a system user and allowing the user to modify or provide additional parameters. The system generates a new instance of the network-related data including the user-provided parameters, wherein the new instance is translated into a format in accordance with the modeling language of the initially received network-related data.

  • Publication number: 20220129777
Abstract: A computer-implemented method can facilitate delivery of targeted content to user devices in situations in which historic tracking data (e.g., cookie data) is generally unavailable and/or unreliable. A p-dimensional embedding of websites can be generated based on a group of user devices for whom tracking data is available. Conversion event data that indicates indicating whether that audience member performed a conversion action can be received. A machine learning model can be trained using the conversion event data and the positions of websites appearing in the conversion event data within the p-dimensional embedding to predict a likelihood of conversion and/or a type of content to provide given a position in the p-dimensional embedding. When an indication that a user device is accessing a website is received, a position of that website in the p-dimensional embedding can be determined and targeted content can be delivered to the user device.

  • Patent number: 11312228
Abstract: A tank adapter has a body with first and second ends and an axial hole. A hollow cylinder of the body has an external tapered thread from the first end toward the second end of the body. A flange between the first and second ends has a flat face extending radially outward from the hollow cylinder to a flange outer diameter. A gage mount portion has a gage mount outer diameter that is less than the flange outer diameter and extends from the second end toward the first end and has gage mounting features for securing a level gage. A gasket mates with the flat face. In a first configuration, the external tapered thread engages an internal tapered thread of a first tank opening. In a second configuration, a collar nut compresses the gasket between the flange and a top rim of a second tank opening.

  • Publication number: 20220100894
Abstract: A traffic sensor includes an imaging unit that generates a recognition record by image recognition processing a captured image of a vehicle. The recognition record includes personal-identification data useable to identify the vehicle owner, and additional data not useable to identify the vehicle owner. The traffic sensor also includes an obfuscation unit that generates an obfuscated record from the recognition record by converting the personal-identification data into a unique-identifier. The obfuscated record includes the unique-identifier and the additional data. • Publication number: 20220101017
Abstract: A surveillance device includes an imaging unit configured generate full-quality image data from a captured image of a vehicle, an image filtering module that converts the full-quality image data to reduced-quality image data. The surveillance device also includes a subsector module that processes the reduced-quality image data to generate subsector data defining one or more sub sectors of the captured image, and an image processing module that identifies one or more specific vehicle characteristics within the one or more subsectors by applying image recognition processing on the full-quality image data only within the one or more subsectors. The reduced quality image data is insufficient for the image recognition processing to identify specific vehicle characteristics therefrom.

  • Publication number: 20220101724
Abstract: A traffic monitoring system includes a roadside traffic sensor unit and an off-site device remote from the traffic sensor unit. The roadside traffic sensor unit includes an imaging device that captures images of vehicles within a field-of-view of the imaging device, an image processing unit that generates a recognition record from the captured images of a vehicle, and a transceiver that transmits the recognition record. The off-site device includes a transceiver that receives the recognition record and a hot list identifying one or more vehicles-of-interest, a memory that stores the received recognition record for up to a retention period, and a processor that sets the retention period based on a comparison of the recognition record to the hot list identified vehicles-of-interest. The retention period can be variably set according to the severity of any “hits” to the hot list.

  • Publication number: 20220100999
Abstract: A traffic monitoring system includes one or more traffic sensors that generate recognition records by image processing captured images of respective vehicles. The recognition records are datasets of one or more characteristic values representing vehicle characteristics. The system also includes a server system communicatively coupled to the one or more traffic sensors. The server system has a holistic signature module that analyzes the recognition records so as to generate a vehicle signature for each of the respective vehicles, a database that stores the vehicle signatures, and a comparison module that compares a suspect vehicle signature with the vehicle signatures stored in the database, so as to identify one or more potential suspect vehicles whose vehicle signatures match the suspect vehicle signature in excess of a similarity threshold.
