Abstract: On-body analyte monitoring devices configured for uncompressed and compressed configurations and methods of using the analyte monitoring devices are disclosed. The devices comprise a collapsible housing, wherein upon desired placement and user application of force to the housing converts the analyte monitoring device from an uncompressed configuration to a low-profile compressed state while guiding an analyte sensor through the skin and into contact with bodily fluid to measure and analyte level therein. Also provided are systems and kits.

Abstract: A shield can inhibit transfer of microbes and bodily fluids from a first side to a second side of the shield, while allowing an ECG device adjacent the first side of the shield to sense separate electrical potentials on skin adjacent the second side. The shield comprises a flexible sheet with a first electrically conductive portion and a second electrically conductive portion; the first and second electrically conductive portions are separated from one another by an electrically insulating portion.

Abstract: Methods, devices, and system including detecting the presence of an electrical connection in a data port of a medical device, the presence of the electrical connection associated with a variation in a signal level resulting from the electrical connection in the data port, and generating a control signal in response to the detected presence of the electrical connection in the data port, where generating the control signals includes one or more of outputting a notification associated with the presence of the electrical connection in the data port or modifying one or more operational parameters associated with the medical device are provided.
