  • Publication number: 20220308585
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for exploiting modern controls, sensors and actuators to realize a novel family of in-line two-wheeled vehicles (Twills) as robots. Each robot has a front-wheel with a substantially horizontal axis of rotation and a substantially vertical steering axis. The front-wheel with its substantially vertical steering axis has a steering-angle that can be sensed by one or more sensors. There is a rear-wheel with a substantially horizontal axis of rotation. A control module stabilizes the roll angle when the robot is in a forward motion as well as when it is substantially or fully stopped. One or both the wheels of the robot may be endowed by a steering motor for steering and a traction motor for providing traction/torque to the wheel.

  • Publication number: 20220160991
Abstract: A diagnostic tool can include a face mask, a casing, a plurality of sensors, and processing circuitry. The face mask can include an air-intake port, a first check valve integrated into the air-intake port, an air-exhaust port, and a second check valve integrated into the air-exhaust port. The casing can be coupled to the face mask having an air-intake chamber coupled to the air-intake port and an air-exhaust chamber coupled to the air-exhaust port. The processing circuitry can be communicatively coupled to the plurality of sensors. The processing circuitry can include computing logic for handling information detected by the plurality of sensors.

  • Patent number: 10739772
Abstract: A novel robotic platform is presented with the characteristics of only two wheels establishing a stable and unstable axis. Stability of the unstable axis is provided by controlling the steering while driving in the direction of the stable axis. Stability while stopped is provided by setting one or both of the wheels oblique to the stable axis and controlling the traction angle of the wheels. High control authority is thus provided while standing and while underway without sensitivity to the driving surface.

  • Publication number: 20180120099
Abstract: A simple compact laser alignment tool used to align vehicle lifts, vehicle jacks, airplane engine lifts and the like. It projects an alignment image such as an “X” onto the surface to be lifted prior to lifting. It may be mounted in the lift or readily removed for use on a sequence of lift points.

  • Patent number: 6591510
Abstract: An apparatus and method for securing and aligning level indicators such as bubble vials includes the use of a spring structure with a screw adjuster. In some embodiments, multiple spring structures are positioned perpendicular to one another to allow precise adjustment in different planes. The spring structure is economical to manufacture, and allows accurate adjustment of levels placed in equipment having imprecisely bored holes.
