Patent number: 12282503Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for automatically determining an intent of a user based on an intent model to attach a file to a document, prompting the user to confirm the intent using a predetermined character in an inline nudge, generating and displaying an inline menu with an interactive list of ranked files as a suggestion for attachment. The disclosed technology uses the intent for specifying a scope of the inline search. The intent model for attaching content maintained by third-party applications uses a combination of an embeddings model and an N-gram model with limited seed queries and determines the intent based on intent scores associated with respective third-party applications. The present disclosure ranks respective candidate content based on a degree of relevance to the intent. The user selects one or more content from the list for attaching to the document.Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 2022Date of Patent: April 22, 2025Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Thomas Constantin, Matthew Sledge Epstein, TszYan C Zogg, Lutfi Ilke Kaya, Christopher Andrews Jung, Ragavenderan Venkatesan, Ming Wu, Zhiguo Yu

Patent number: 12279775Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for treating vascular defects are disclosed herein. One aspect of the present technology, for example, is directed toward an occlusive device comprising a coil having a proximal end, a distal end, and a longitudinal axis extending therebetween. The coil may be formed of an elongated member wound about the longitudinal axis of the coil in a series of contiguous loops, wherein each of the loops extend around the longitudinal axis between a first end and a second end. The second end may be disposed at generally the same angular position as the first end about to the longitudinal axis of the coil. The elongated member may undulate along its longitudinal axis between the first and second ends of at least some of the individual loops.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 2023Date of Patent: April 22, 2025Assignee: COVIDIEN LPInventors: Christopher Andrews, Etelvina Rivas, Hieu Dang

Publication number: 20250090185Abstract: Retrieval of material from vessel lumens can be improved by electrically enhancing attachment of the material to the removal device. The removal device can have a core assembly that includes a hypotube coupled to a first electrical terminal and a pushwire coupled to a second electrical terminal, the pushwire extending through the hypotube lumen. An insulating layer separates the hypotube and the pushwire, and an interventional element is coupled to a distal end of the pushwire. The interventional element can be disposed adjacent to a thrombus. An electrical signal is delivered to the interventional element to promote adhesion of the thrombus to the interventional element. The electrical signal can optionally be a periodic waveform, and the total energy delivered can be between 0.75-24,000 mJ and the peak current delivered via the electrical signal can be between 0.5-5 mA.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 30, 2024Publication date: March 20, 2025Inventors: Gaurav Girdhar, Hoai Nguyen, Andyanhdzung Huynh, Ashok Nageswaran, Christopher Andrews

Patent number: 12047338Abstract: Traditional messaging applications (such as email, social networking platforms, text, instant messaging, chat, etc.) are ill-equipped for collaboration. For instance, a sender and recipients corresponding regarding a topic are often required to exchange multiple messages. As a result, determining a consensus regarding the topic or summarizing the collaboration is difficult and cumbersome. Moreover, when links are included in messages, recipients are required to navigate away from the messaging application to view the linked content. A messaging application is provided that may be configured to enable users to dynamically collaborate regarding links or data within a sent message or a receive message. In aspects, a collaborative user experience (UX) is provided, which may be an interface within a message that enables real-time collaboration between a sender and one or more recipients regarding message content—without exchanging additional messages or navigating away from the messaging application.Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 2023Date of Patent: July 23, 2024Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Leeviana Peng Gray, Sebastien Rene Vandenberghe, Kyle P. Patent number: 11931041Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for treating vascular defects are disclosed herein. One aspect of the present technology, for example, includes an occlusive device comprising a mesh having a low-profile state for intravascular delivery to the aneurysm and a deployed state, the mesh comprising a first end portion, a second end portion, and a length extending between the first and second end portions, and a first lateral edge, a second lateral edge, and a width extending between the first and second lateral edges. The mesh may have a predetermined shape in the deployed state in which (a) the mesh is curved along its width, (b) the mesh is curved along its length, and (c) the mesh has an undulating contour across at least a portion of one or both of its length or its width. The mesh is configured to be positioned within the aneurysm in the deployed state such that the mesh extends over the neck of the aneurysm.Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 2021Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: Covidien LPInventors: Gregory Hamel, Patrick Quinn, Arturo Rosqueta, Stephen Sosnowski, Christopher Andrews, Hieu Dang, Dinh Nguyen, Robert Pecor, Minh Q. Patent number: 11748557Abstract: The present disclosure relates to processing operations that generate and present personalized content suggestions to assist a user with document creation. Machine learning modeling may be trained and implemented to evolve pre-canned suggestions for document creation into highly personalized content suggestions, thereby improving the document creation process and user interface experience for users of applications/services that are utilized to create digital documents. As an example, signal data may be detected and analyzed, identifying a specific user's intent to create a digital document. Machine learning modeling may be implemented to evaluate different aspects of collected signal data and identify content from previously created documents, associated with a user account, that may be most relevant to the real-time document creation experience of the user. Personalized contextual suggestions may be presented to a user through a user interface.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 2021Date of Patent: September 5, 2023Assignee: MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGY LICENSING, LLCInventors: Marian Kimberley Chua, Michael Schreiber, Christopher Andrews Jung
